Atlantic City Pop-Up Bars

The holiday season is here, and Atlantic City casinos are celebrating with a new set of Christmas pop-up bars around town!

So it’s time to get into the holiday spirit, and what better way than by visiting some festive locations in AC? Whether you’re looking for a fun space to spend time with friends or want to indulge in a little festive decadence, PlayNJ has you covered. Here are some of the best holiday spots to grab a drink this December:

1. The Candy Cane Lounge at Resorts Atlantic City

If you’re looking for a holiday-themed bar to sip cocktails and have fun, look no further than the new Candy Cane Lounge, which opened earlier this month. The bar has drink specials including the Candy Cane Kringle and Mistletoe Martini (both $12) and will feature live entertainment every Saturday between 7:00pm and 10:00pm through Jan. 3rd.

Entertainment will include the following dance routines:

  • Nov. 26th: Candy Cane Girls & Dancing Santa’s
  • Dec. 3rd: Merry Elves
  • Dec. 10th: Snow Angels
  • Dec. 17th: Dancing Santa’s

Also it wouldn’t be the season of giving without helping others out. On Fri. Dec. 9th at 8 p.m. the US Marine Corps will be hosting their annual Toys for Tots drive. The annual fundraiser is hosted by the singing lifeguard, Jim Craine. Admission is free for anyone that brings a new unwrapped toy to the musical comedy show.

2. Harrah’s Resort: The Tipsy Elf at Eden Lounge

Starting on Nov. 25 through Jan. 1 the North Pole invades Atlantic City as the Eden Lounge will become a Winter Wonderland for guests 21 and over.

For any patron that spends just $5 they can inscribe their names on some decorations around the bar. According to a press release, all proceeds from The Tipsy Elf at Eden Lounge will fully benefit The Foodbank of NJ.

“We’re excited to debut The Tipsy Elf at Eden Lounge, just in time for the holiday season, and even more thrilled to donate a portion of our proceeds to The Community Food Bank of New Jersey,” said Gregg Klein, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. “Bringing a holiday pop-up experience to our seaside town is always a fun project, and we’re excited for visitors and New Jersey locals to be able to celebrate the holiday with a unique twist this year.”

Some exclusive drinks that will be offered are:

  • No Snow on Christmas
  • Christmas Thyme
  • Where’s the Tylenol
  • Partridge in a Pear Tree Martini

Also for guests who complete a promotion called the “12 Bites of Christmas” challenge will be entered into a special drawing to win up to a $200 dining credit.

It may not be a holiday pop-up bar, but one place that is a must stop is the Irish Pub in Atlantic City. Tall trees, soldiers, wreaths, twirling and spinning mechanical decorations — you’re not going to want to miss the Irish Pub in Atlantic City when it’s decked out for Christmas.

The traditional pub is known for its festive atmosphere, but every year, owners Cathy and Richard Burke outdo themselves for the holidays. Starting about two weeks before Thanksgiving, they decorate the pub from head to mistle toe.The bar includes thousands of lights throughout the restaurant.
