The road to victory is simple: Answer all 10 questions correctly and win a share of the daily prize pool (up to $500).
BetMGM trivia quiz rules
Players will find the questions on the NJ sports betting app. So, if you haven’t done so yet, download the BetMGM app and create an account.
Because the contest is free, depositing funds is optional.
The NJ sports betting crowd can participate in the trivia quiz once per day.
Here are the basic rules:
- Click on the trivia quiz icon.
- Get ready to answer 10 questions.
- You have 10 seconds to respond.
- Answer correctly, and you get another question.
- Scoring 10 out of 10 earns you a share of the cash.
- Be careful; one incorrect response ends the game.
- Questions are available between 9 a.m. and 11:59 p.m.
Climb the leaderboard for more prizes
BetMGM has an added incentive for daily players. There is a weekly leaderboard being updated each day.
The total amount of correct responses recorded Monday to Sunday automatically qualifies individuals for the running tally. The top five weekly finishers will earn an additional cash prize.
Each correct answer is worth one point.
Here is the payout structure that will be split amongst all top-scoring users:
- First place: $1,000
- Second place: $500
- Third place: $250
- Fourth place: $150
- Fifth place: $100
NJ health care hero wins big
Garden State health care workers are in the spotlight for all the hours and hard work they are putting in during the coronavirus pandemic.
But it turns out Michael Catala, a nurse from Little Ferry, is a winner outside of the hospital, too.
Catala correctly completed a bracket for BetMGM’s NBA 2K Player’s Tournament. The perfect bracket earned him a $20,000 check. Catala spoke about the tournament in a statement.
“I watched every game live on my phone throughout the entire tournament. I had a really good feeling about this the whole time until the finals came and there were two people in front of me.
“I thought for sure at least one of them also had (Devin) Booker.”
Here is the winning bracket:
Thank you to all who participated in our 2K players only bracket and congrats to tournament winner Devin Booker!

BetMGM is, of course, “glad to see the money go to a nurse on the front lines.”
And as an added bonus, the operator is making a $20K charitable donation to the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund.
