DraftKings Partners With Evolution To Expand Its Online Casino With Live Dealer

DraftKings Sportsbook recently expanded its NJ sports betting offerings by opening an online casino. Now, it is doubling down on its casino expansion by partnering with Evolution Gaming to offer live dealer games.

James Stern, chief business officer for Evolution, spoke about the new partnership in a press release.

“DraftKings is a young and dynamic company that has blazed a trail in recent years with its best-in-class technology and extensive knowledge of sports.

“DraftKings was first to market in New Jersey with online sports betting, just a couple (of) months after filing its license with the New Jersey regulators. We very much look forward to working with DraftKings on this project.”

DraftKings Casino banks on its NJ sports betting popularity

DraftKings was the first sportsbook to launch a NJ sports betting app. Since then, it has dominated the industry. Many credit DraftKings with being first to market for its success.

The reality is, though, that the mobile app is user-friendly and player-focused. With all of its success, it makes sense that it wants to expand its reach by doing something it does really well — help people place bets.

An integrated sports betting and online casino app with a shared wallet is appealing to NJ gamblers. Besides being convenient, it provides players with their choice of entertainment without the hassle.

After initially launching blackjack in December, DraftKings Casino has added the following games to its portfolio:

When will DraftKings Casino offer live dealer games?

A partnership with Evolution Gaming is a sign that live dealer games will soon be coming to DraftKings online casino. The press release didn’t discuss the details of the deal, but it would not surprise anyone to see live dealer games appear in the near future.

Evolution opened a New Jersey live dealer game studio in fall of 2018. Since then, Evolution has made its mark by supplying live dealer games to:

While DraftKings commands the NJ sports betting space, Golden Nugget online casino is the company to beat in the NJ online casino market.

Live dealer games from Ezugi gave Golden Nugget a leg up on the competition. In fact, it was the only casino to offer live dealer games for two years.

NJ online casinos must provide live dealer games to be competitive in the space. Hence, DraftKings’ plans to offer live dealer games is the right move. The when, for now, is a mystery.

DraftKings and Super Bowl 2019

All of this casino talk comes just before DraftKings gets ready to head into what is likely to be its busiest betting day of the year — Super Bowl Sunday.

To celebrate being able to legally bet on the Super Bowl for the first time in NJ, DraftKings Sportsbook is courting casual players with a free Super Bowl squares game. It is called Big Games Squares, and DraftKings is awarding $50,000+ in cash prizes to participants.

You don’t have to be a veteran sports bettor to play this game. All you have to do is pick a blank square. At the start of the game, DraftKings will assign numbers to each square, and the rest is fate.

Expanding its online casino offerings and still focusing on growing its sports betting customer base is just one reason why DraftKings is making headlines in the Garden State. One thing we have learned about DraftKings in the months since NJ sports betting launched is they are in it to win it.
