Atlantic City hosts more than 27 million visitors each year, making it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the nation. Atlantic City’s world-famous Boardwalk was built in 1870 and the resort is home to AC casinos, world-class dining and live entertainment shows.

Resorts offers a very special May 14 Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with reservations needed.
Dougherty’s Steakhouse & Raw Bar at Resorts offers May 14 Mother’s Day specials that include soft shell crab, grilled rack of lamb or twin lobster tails. Reservations required.
A Mother’s Day getaway at Ocean Resort AC
Another option is taking mom away for a long weekend. Ocean Casino Resort offers just such a weekend.
Flowers and candy are nice, but so is relaxing in a room with an oceanfront view. Special packages are available.
Amada at Ocean Resort serves food from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. They offer a Spanish ambiance with authentic Mediterranean options, including paella pollo, ceviche, pomegranate and gin cured salmon meals.
How about racing for Mother’s Day weekend?
Let mom bring her competitive side to Lucky Snake at the Showboat Resort, which offers the largest arcade in the East.
The 60,000-square-foot arcade features more than 300 games including pinball, glow mini golf and virtual reality.
There’s also a racetrack with go-karts located inside the Lucky Snake Arcade, and it’s open no matter what Mother’s Day weekend weather is like – 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Friday.

The Claridge in Atlantic City is offering a chance to celebrate in grand southern style by treating mom with a delicious spread of homemade southern dishes prepared amid jazz music by chefs from Levander’s 22 Southern Cuisines.
The brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. includes cajun shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles, shepherd’s pie, beef back ribs and Louisiana banana split french toast, dirty rice, collard greens and peach cobbler.

Top off Mother’s Day with something sweet
When it’s time for a Mother’s Day dessert, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino offer’s Mother’s Day cheesecake at Sugar Factory.
The New York cheesecake is dipped in rich dark chocolate, topped with whipped cream, chocolate covered strawberries, a raspberry macaron and edible gold.
Hard Rock also is offering a special Happy Mother’s Day gift card good for hotel stays, retail, spa and salon.

On Friday starting at 9 p.m., ZOSO: The Ultimate Led Zeppelin Experience takes stage at Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City. Tickets required.
For those needing a bit more time to plan, Borgata offers tickets for Tom Jones on May 20, Daryl Hall with guest Todd Rundgren on June 9 and the Goo Goo Dolls Big Night Out Tour on Aug. 11.

Mother’s Day Hot Moms contest or movie?
Tropicana’s Boogie Nights dance club hosts a Hot Moms contest on Saturday with a chance to win prizes. Registration is available online.
But when was the last time mom got to go to a movie? The IMAX theater at Tropicana offers Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, a 3D experience action adventure show 2 p.m., 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Cap off the weekend with Sunday champagne brunch
The Chart House at Golden Nugget is bringing back its Sunday champagne brunch with an endless option of fresh seafood beginning on Sunday.
Sip on mimosas and Bloody Marys while taking in waterfront views.
There are also carved meats and a build-your-own omelet or waffle station. The Sunday brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and reservations are needed.
