Hard Rock Online Joins The Live Dealer Market In NJ With Evolution Gaming

Posted on August 10, 2018

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City will debut a live dealer function on its online casino in 2018. Live-dealer platformer Evolution Gaming announced this week that the new NJ online casino has licensed its products to its property.

Evolution primarily operates its live dealer portfolio in Europe. For a nascent casino like Hard Rock online casino, though, these products are a proven commodity.

As a result, Hard Rock’s planned offerings are quite robust. There will be games broadcast both from a live studio and from the casino floor itself. Hard Rock expects to launch its live dealer platform sometime this summer.

In fact, one of its Dual Play Roulette tables will be available to Evolution’s customers overseas. So, Hard Rock’s online casino won’t simply be local to New Jersey residents — it will be an international game.

In a press release, Hard Rock Director of iGaming Product Lee Terfloth commented:

“As well as building Atlantic City’s premier destination casino, we want Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City to be the number one online destination for New Jersey players. Evolution is the ideal partner to help us achieve that. They have a proven track record in multiple European markets that they are the Live Casino leaders.”

Hard Rock’s selection of live dealer games

Hard Rock online casino will offer a tremendous selection of live dealer games. The casino will broadcast both from a dedicated live studio and directly from the casino floor.

The games it will offer include:

American Roulette

  • This version uses a wheel with two zero spaces.

Blackjack

  • Blackjack side bets will be available.
  • The game will feature Bet Behind, which allows players to wager on other bettors’ hands, even if the player is not seated at the table itself.

Evolution Dual Play Roulette

  • This game is broadcast from the actual casino floor.
  • Players from Evolution’s European network will have access to this game and be able to bet alongside onsite bettors.

Evolution Live Blackjack

  • This game is broadcast from the actual casino floor.
  • The game is exclusive to Hard Rock players only.

Slingshot Roulette

  • This online roulette version requires no dealer to play.
  • Gameplay is typically faster because the ball releases are automated.

Plus, Hard Rock live dealer will include two poker games (Three Card Poker and Ultimate Texas Hold’Em Poker) as well as baccarat.

Evolution finding American footholds more frequently

With this partnership, Evolution Gaming now provides live dealer game collections for three different NJ online casinos.

888 Casino and Ocean Online Casino reached deals with the Swedish gaming company earlier this summer.

Evolution’s services are increasingly in demand in the US due to the explosive popularity of live dealer games. In fact, live dealer offerings are becoming a must-have for many New Jersey sites.

More or less, each of these sites is chasing market leader Golden Nugget. Golden Nugget’s leap of faith on live dealer games in August 2016 has produced overwhelming dominance for the Atlantic City casino.

According to the most recent figures from the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement, the Nugget’s NJ online casino revenues surpass both the second and third place sites — combined. Golden Nugget management attributes this position to the live dealer games, saying that 4 out of the top 10 wagered games in the site’s portfolio are live dealer games.

So, it’s no surprise that Hard Rock online casino wants to participate in the live dealer market. Obviously, we will see if its offering will bring largesse or merely subsistence to the new site.
