Jackpocket Casino is the newest player testing the NJ online casino waters. The online gambling newcomer has yet even to send out a press release telling players, “We’re open with slots and live dealer games.”

Those with an iOS device might accidentally come across Jackpocket online casino when searching for new NJ online casino apps available for download. Despite the slow and quiet rollout, the news isn’t a total surprise. In early October, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement granted regulatory approval to conduct online gambling in the Garden State.

Jackpocket, better known for its online lottery product, gained NJ market access via a partnership with Caesars Interactive Entertainment and Harrah’s Atlantic City.

Jackpocket Online Casino offers limited library, for now

Jackpocket is joining an extremely mature NJ online casino market that is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Over that time, it has generated over $7 billion in revenue. Jackpocket, like others potentially still to come, picked the NJ market to make its online casino debut.

However, as far as what PlayNJ can tell so far, the app remains a work in progress as there is a tad under 200 slot titles as of Monday afternoon. Jackpocket ranks its top 10 games under a separate menu in the game lobby. Those titles include:

  • American Roulette Live
  • Starburst
  • Cleopatra
  • 88 Fortunes
  • Capital Gains

Players seeking live blackjack (10), roulette (7), or baccarat (4) will find those specific games by scrolling further down.

Divine Fortune, Mercy of the Gods, and Vegas Night Life are the three titles under the “jackpots” category.

For those wondering if Jackpocket is available via desktop, the answer is yes via the website casino.jackpocket.com.

Will Jackpocket succeed among NJ online casinos?

Since Jackpocket remains in its soft launch mode, it’s way too early to answer this question.

The reality is the market is dominated by three license holders – Borgata, Resorts Digital, and Golden Nugget. Brands such as BetMGM NJ, DraftKings Casino NJ, BetRivers Casino NJ, and many others have been around much longer and have established customer databases.

Jackpocket, on the other hand, is an established online lottery courier service in 15 states and Washington DC. The scenario could create a crossover appeal that competitors can not offer.

We expect the silence regarding its NJ online casino launch will not remain quiet for much longer.

Another possible casino could also launch in the near future as well, there’s just no word on when. Look for Jackpot City Casino NJ to join the market at some point in 2024, perhaps.
