As planned, Tropicana Atlantic City opened the doors to its new sportsbook on Friday.
The new 5,000-square-foot William Hill Sportsbook at Tropicana replaces the temporary sportsbook that opened in October. It features nearly 1,654 square feet of video displays with seating for 180 NJ sports betting fans.
With March Madness betting on the horizon, Steve Callender is eagerly waiting to see the new sportsbook in action. The senior vice president of operations for Tropicana AC expects the new sportsbook to attract visitors throughout the month.
“Considering the popularity of the NCAA tournament, we expect to see the number of visitors grow exponentially. With the addition of this new venue, we now have more to offer our new guests and we are eager to share this new space with them.”
But what does it look like inside? Well, for those who have not had a chance to visit the new sportsbook, here are a few snapshots of the newest updated sportsbook in AC.

The sportsbook, located in the North Tower Casino, is right next to two restaurants (Chickie’s & Pete’s and 10 North) and steps away from the Boardwalk.
Video screens take up most of the wall space above the seating area.
According to a press release from William Hill, the displays amount to nearly 200 linear feet of screens. Bettors can watch 16 games at one time and view updated odds on “one of the largest odds boards in Atlantic City.”
From VIP couches to barstools, there are plenty of seats
The Tropicana sportsbook has 180 total seats including both bar and lounge-style seating areas. An elevated VIP lounge area features similar lounge-style seating.
According to the press release, the seating at Tropicana is billed as the most of any sportsbook in Atlantic City.
Betting windows at Tropicana
Of course, seating is all well and good, but let’s talk betting on sports. The space features four self-betting kiosks as well as eight betting windows and a high-limit window. The windows are located just below the massive odds board.
