Ocean Resort Casino Quietly Goes Live With Its Android Mobile App

Ocean Online Casino, the virtual version of Atlantic City’s newest casino, Ocean Resort Casino, now has an app for mobile Android users. The NJ online casino released the news quietly via an announcement on its promotions page.

In order to use the new app, simply click the “Download for Android” button on the announcement page. Then log in and choose any game to proceed to the download page.

Select “Download Now” on that page. Then follow the prompts and you’re all set for the app.

All functions of the site are available on the Android app. Players can play their favorite games, participate in the many leaderboards, or spin the Fortuna Wheel up to four times a day through the NJ mobile casino.

The announcement mentions that the Apple version of the app will be available soon. However, there is no published date for that version’s release.

Mobile NJ online casinos are popular

However, Ocean Resort’s release of an Android-friendly version of its app is not a particular surprise. If anything, it’s a surprise the release came as late as it did.

Although Golden Nugget online casino continues to dominate the market, all owners of mobile gaming apps are seeing a payoff in their investments. There are few online casinos in NJ that don’t have a mobile app. Each is different, and not all the games available on your laptop are available on your phone.

Meanwhile, Ocean Resort online casino pulled in the least amount of NJ online casino revenue in the state, according to figures from August 2018.

Younger demographics are far more likely to use a mobile device without a traditional internet connection.

In fact, more than 20 percent of people between ages 18-29 exclusively use their phones to connect, according to a Pew Research Center report.

This statistic could simply be indicative of their age and attention span. However, the ingrained familiarity that younger generations are developing with mobile devices will likely remain a permanent trend as they age.

Since the legal age to gamble in New Jersey is 21, that’s a sign that most NJ online casinos are well aware of.

Mobile online gambling is likely the future of gaming in general. In that sense, Ocean Online Casino’s new Android app is not so much late as it is important. And an iOS app will be good news when it happens, too.
