New Jersey poker players have another live event to play for this month.
After the recent success of the summer Aria series in Las Vegas, NJ online poker players now have the chance to win a seat into the Potomac Open Championship. BetMGM and National Harbor Casino have teamed up to offer an awesome qualifier package for poker players to compete in the Championship event, with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million.
“After the success of previous omni-channel events with ARIA and Borgata, BetMGM Poker is happy to offer online players a chance to qualify for the Potomac Poker Open Championship at MGM National Harbor,” said Luke Staudenmaier, BetMGM’s Director of Poker, in a press release. “We will continue to find ways to support our MGM partners as they continue to offer Championship poker across the country.”

$5,000 prize package available now for NJ poker players
Players can go on BetMGM NJ Poker now and compete for packages. If New Jersey players win a qualifier on BetMGM Poker, they will receive a package that includes the following benefits:
- $3,000 BetMGM entry into the Live $1 million event Aug. 25-28
- Hotel stay at MGM National Harbor Aug 25-28
- Travel Expenses
According to the site, to participate, players must log into their BetMGM account and register for qualifier tournaments using cash buy-ins or Tournament Dollars. To be eligible, players must be 21 years of age or older and located within New Jersey’s state borders while playing. Players can also take advantage of special deposit codes to get more free seats into the qualifiers.
Garden State qualifier tournaments abound
New Jersey players, whether residents or not, can join the series qualifiers through the BetMGM Poker client, provided that they are physically present in the state while playing.
Each day $20 and $100 qualifiers will lead online to the $535 qualifier on Aug. 13 that will award five $5,000 Packages per state.

Potomac Open Championship schedule
For players making the journey to National Harbor’s Potomac Poker Open Championship, the entire series will take place Aug. 16-28.
In total, the tournament series will guarantee over $2 million in prize pools. The Potomac Poker Open features 19 numbered events with buy-ins that range from $200 to $3,000.This allows players of all bankroll sizes to get in on the action.
