WSOP Opens Doors To First-Of-Its-Kind Online Circuit Series In New Jersey

Written By Daniel Smyth on September 11, 2018

Fresh off another successful summer, the World Series of Poker (WSOP) is taking its ever-popular Circuit events to the internet.

Set to get underway on Sept. 18 and run until Sept. 30, the WSOP Online Circuit Series is the first of its kind. To celebrate the organization’s latest innovation, the 13-day festival will give away at least $700,000 in prize money.

If that’s not enough, each winner will receive a coveted WSOP Circuit Ring, as well as a chance to play in the season-ending Global Casino Championship.

Satellite your way to a WSOP Circuit Ring

To play for 13 rings in 13 days, all you have to do is log in to NJ and ante-up. If you’re buying-in directly, the cost for a single MTT will range from $200 to $1,000.

However, to ensure everyone has a shot at becoming a WSOP champion, there are a ton of satellites on offer. Already underway but running alongside the main schedule as well, these low stakes qualifiers will give you the chance to turn just a few dollars into a few thousand.

Of course, without the necessary skill and good fortune, winning won’t be easy. However, if you’re an aspiring Phil Ivey or Daniel Negreanu, this could be your chance to break into the big time.

Looking through the list of events, there a plenty of interesting options. First up is a No Limit Hold’em KO event. For those that aren’t familiar with this type of tournament, you basically receive a bounty each time you KO someone. The beauty of this is that you can earn your buy-in back even if you don’t make it into the money.

Win the main event and become a global champion

Beyond the knockout opener, the six-max event on Sept. 20 should be an action-packed affair, as will the Pot Limit Omaha six-max on Sept. 28.

For something a little more lucrative and slightly less intense, the No Limit Hold’em Monster Stack on Sept. 23 will feature a $100,000 prize pool and generous starting stacks.

If you’ve only got time to play one WSOP Online Circuit MTT, make sure it’s the Main Event. Kicking off on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. ET, this $525 tournament will not only feature a prize pool of at least $200,000 but a free seat in the Global Casino Championship.

Bringing the Circuit season to a close, the Global Casino Championship is an invitation-only tournament with a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million. Because it’s invite-only, the field size is a lot smaller than it otherwise would be. The upshot of this is that you’ll have a much greater chance of winning the title and a six-figure payday.

To gain access to this special tourney, all you have to do is win the WSOP Online Circuit main event. If you can’t manage that, there is a second way to win if you’re the most consistent player. Each time you finish in the money, you’ll earn points. The player with the most points at the end of the series will also get to take part in the Global Casino Championship next August.

Jump on the online value-train at WSOP NJ

Even though the prospect of playing for some WSOP bling via your computer or NJ mobile poker app should be interesting enough, you might be wondering why the organizers are hosting an online festival.

Well, the main reason is due to the success of the WSOP’s summer bracelet event. After hosting an inaugural event in 2015, the virtual MTTs have gone from strength to strength. In fact, this year’s $325 online bracelet tournament attracted a record 2,972 entries.

Wanting to build on this and take full advantage of New Jersey’s liquidity sharing pact with Nevada and Delaware, the WSOP put together an online Circuit event. For you, that’s great news as it means more action, more ways to win and, importantly, more value this September.

To take part in the action, make sure you create your first account at NJ using our secure sign-up link. Doing that will not only ensure you get to the signup page safely, but it will entitle you to $10 free when you use the promo code 10FREE. Once you’ve claimed that reward, you’ll receive a 100 percent welcome bonus worth up to $1,000 when you make your first deposit.

Released in stages as you earn loyalty points, this cash can be used for ring games, tournaments, or withdrawn at your leisure. Basically, if you’re a new customer and you claim this offer now, there’s every chance you could win a WSOP Online Circuit Ring for free.
