European gaming veteran Unibet is coming to New Jersey.
Unibet is one of the top operators in the world. It has its eyes on Europe and Scandinavia, but it has been seeking a way to get into the lucrative and expanding American market.
That will happen when it launches an online and mobile sportsbook in the Garden State. Once the new Unibet NJ online sportsbook establishes itself, it’ll open online casino and poker operations, too.

How to sign up
Signing up for an account couldn’t be easier or faster.
Unibet’s European registration asks you for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and address. It also asks for your gender, but we suspect that will go away when the book comes to America.
After that, you’ll pick a password and confirm which new player incentive you want for your account. Then you’re done.
New Jersey law states that anyone who works in a position that allows them to influence the outcome of a sporting event, like a coach, player, referee, trainer or other sports official, is not allowed to open a gaming account or place sports wagers.
If that doesn’t describe you, and you are at least 21 years old and inside the borders of New Jersey, you may open an account and place as many sports wagers as you’d like.
If you are outside the NJ state lines, you can still open an account and even make deposits. To place wagers, however, Unibet must be able to track your location through geolocation technologies and confirm you are in New Jersey.
Unibet Sportsbook bonus offers
Present day players expect gaming operators to provide bonus offers for new registrations and robust incentives for becoming a new customer. It’s simply the direction the industry has gone across the world, especially in states like New Jersey where the market is new, and the competition for new customers is fierce.
While we don’t know what Unibet is prepared to present for its new player registrations, it will offer some form of incentives.
Currently, its European sports gaming customers get to choose between two bonuses: Bet and Get, or 50 Euro Sports.
Bet and Get is simple. Place a bet for 20 euros and receive a pair of free, 20 euro bets.
With the 50 Euro Sports bonus, if you deposit 50 euros, you will receive a bonus of 50 euros to bet on sports. The one catch is that you can’t withdraw the 50 euros until you’ve bet a total of 300 euros.
These promotions are quite small in value in terms of competing with the growing number of New Jersey sportsbooks.
We expect Unibet will have to plan on releasing something bigger and better when it comes to New Jersey. Unibet will be competing against the known promotions of DraftKings, FanDuel, Caesars and William Hill.
Of course, this is speculation based on the current New Jersey market. Unibet has yet to announce any specific plans.
Unibet’s loyalty program
As of right now, Unibet doesn’t offer its customers any specific loyalty programs.
Although, when it eventually partners up with a casino or land-based sportsbook, we think it’s likely to offer a loyalty program that will integrate bets made through Unibet.
Unibet has made no announcements regarding a loyalty program.
Other available bonuses and incentives
Unibet offers a wide variety of other bonuses and incentives to keep you engaged and entertained.
There is the European football jackpot, which takes all Champions League and Europa League bets and automatically gives you entries into the football jackpot prize draw. Each of those entries could win you a part of the guaranteed 25,000 euros in winnings.
You can also win 50,000 euros through its Champions League predictor. There is a 30 percent multiplier that can be added to any football (soccer) match. There are also weekly profit bonuses related to bets on darts.
Since Unibet offers casino games in Europe as well. On Tuesdays (after Champions League and Europa League matches are over), the 5,000 euro Starburst Tournament begins, and you are given 10 free spins in the casino.
Whatever bonuses come to New Jersey, we think it is likely to be less soccer-oriented, with the football bets coming from the American variety of the sport. However, as you can see from the list above, Unibet does love to offer a variety of player incentives.
Available sportsbook wagers
We expect Unibet to hit the ground running when it eventually goes live in New Jersey, and that means it will feature a wide variety of available sports wagers.
Due to its European roots, you will be able to bet on cricket, rugby, darts, Aussie rules football and cycling. But because we’re talking about New Jersey, you will also be able to bet on:
- American football
- Mixed martial arts
As for wagers, Unibet will offer bets on point spreads, moneylines, parlays, teasers, over/unders, props, totals, halves and a wide variety of futures bets.
Unibet will also offer in-play wagering.
That means you can place wagers on games currently in progress, with changing lines, half-time totals, and second-chance multipliers. It is quite simply the most interactive and dynamic way to place sports wagers.
Unibet’s mobile app
You may want the ease of pulling out your phone and placing wagers through a mobile app. Unibet will offer that experience, whether you have an iOS or Android device.
Unibet’s fully integrated mobile sportsbook app allows you direct access to your account, regardless of your location. You will also notice just how smoothly the app runs and how closely it mimics your experience on the website. That makes going back and forth between the two seamless and user-friendly.
You may prefer to use the app only, and that is definitely possible with Unibet. You can sign up for a new account directly through the app and make all necessary financial transactions there as well.
One thing you must keep in mind is that even though the app can be used outside of NJ, wagers may only be placed when geolocation technology can verify that you are within state lines.
How to make deposits and withdrawals
Unibet and the state of New Jersey offer a wide variety of ways to place account deposits and make subsequent withdrawals.
Direct bank transfer is always a quick and easy way to make deposits. You can use credit cards, send an e-check, a personal or cashier’s check, or use PayPal (which allows you to use a bank account or credit card). If you need to send cash as your deposit, you can use any of the hundreds of PayNearMe locations found throughout the state.
If you used PayPal for your deposit, you could easily use it for withdrawals. You can also opt to have an e-check deposited directly into your bank account, or have Unibet send you a check in the mail, depending on how you made your deposits.
Sending a check in the mail will come with delays of up to seven business days.
