Over President’s Day Weekend, a Monmouth County man showed the best thing to do after becoming a Caesars progressive jackpot winner. Before he left with his after-tax payout on the $1.1 million pot, he spread the love generously.

The win was the culmination of nearly two years of the jackpot building. The contest to become the next winner of this jackpot at Caesars’ properties in Atlantic City is now on.

Who is the new Caesars progressive jackpot winner?

Caesars revealed the identity of the winner as Frank Nagy, who resides in Central New Jersey. He got the royal flush while playing a progressive poker game at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City over this past weekend.

“We are thrilled to celebrate this huge win with one of our longtime customers at Tropicana,” said Steve Callender, Regional President for Caesars Entertainment Atlantic City, in a press release. “This weekend’s MEGA jackpot is the latest example of the power of Caesars Rewards and our portfolio of resorts in the market, offering guests more ways to earn and redeem rewards – and win – in Atlantic City.”

Nagy’s jackpot is now the company’s largest on record for a progressive poker game. While Nagy didn’t share any details of what he was going to do with his amazing return on a $5 wager, he immediately did something very appropriate for Valentine’s Day weekend.

Nagy tipped the dealers on shift $50,000. That looks like a hefty sum. However, that chunk out of a jackpot that has been building since August of 2019 is really just a fraction. Will another 18 months pass before someone hits the jackpot again?

How to follow up on Nagy’s win

Trying your hand at the new pot is simple. Visit any of Caesars’ AC properties: Caesars, Harrah’s, or the Tropicana. Several different table games are part of the contest, including:

  • Four Card Poker
  • Let It Ride
  • Mississippi Stud Poker
  • Texas Hold’em
  • Three Card Poker
  • Ultimate Texas Hold’em

Players should note these games are not available in the poker rooms. They are located in each of the casino’s table games section. Also, to have a play qualify for the progressive jackpot, players must add the additional $5 progressive wager before each hand.

Someday, another lucky Caesars property patron will win this jackpot again. Hopefully, that person will be as generous with the casino staff, turning it into an exciting day for everyone involved.
