The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority (CRDA) has launched RISE Atlantic City. It’s a $3 million community grants program for Atlantic City nonprofits and organizations. RISE stands for Resources for Investment, Support & Empowerment.
CRDA will release applications on November 24, 2026. The program is open to community groups throughout Atlantic City for special programs, events, and initiatives.
Where the $3 million goes
Grants are available in four categories:
- Tourism and Arts & Culture: $1 million
- Workforce Development: $700,000
- Youth, Teen and Young Adult Development: $600,000
- Community Resilience: $700,000
Grants are awarded on a rolling basis. Each category stays open until its funds run out.
Match requirements and approval
Grants are issued on a reimbursement basis. Requests of $30,000 to $99,999 require a 25% funding match. Besides, requests of $100,000 or more require a 50% match. All awards require CRDA Board approval.
What CRDA officials said
“RISE Atlantic City puts $3 million where it belongs: in the hands of the people and organizations doing the work in our neighborhoods every day,”
said CRDA Executive Director Eric Scheffler.
CRDA Board Chair Modia Butler called the launch
“a first step, not a finish line.”
Deputy Director Maisha Moore added,
“Every RISE Atlantic City grant tells a story about what’s possible when Atlantic City residents have quality programming with real investment behind them.”
