Seven Straight Years on the Boardwalk
The walk supports the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Sept. 20 marks the seventh consecutive year at the Boardwalk resort.
Hard Rock Atlantic City has passed $1 million in total contributions since 2018, according to the announcement. That sustained fundraising has made the Atlantic-Cape walk the largest event of its kind in New Jersey.
The story isn’t about the usual lane of revenue reports and sportsbook updates. That said, it still places a major casino property at the center of a regional community effort.
Industry-wide participation returns for this 2026 event. The Casino Association of New Jersey and employees from every Atlantic City casino property will take part for a third consecutive year.
That breadth stands out in the Atlantic City market. Nine competing properties rarely appear under one banner.
Voices Behind the Effort
Michael Sampson, general manager at Hard Rock Atlantic City and a board member of the AFSP New Jersey Chapter, praised the commitment of community partners. He linked those efforts to the foundation’s mission of saving lives and offering hope to people in crisis.
George Goldhoff spoke for the wider industry. He serves as president of the Casino Association of New Jersey and as president of Hard Rock Atlantic City. Goldhoff described member properties as committed to the communities they serve and framed the walk as one route toward mental health awareness.
