Hard Rock Bet has opened qualifying sweepstakes for New Jersey players to compete in a $5 million live slots tournament, with a $1 million first-place prize.

Qualifying runs through Nov. 29, with four drawings offering opportunities to earn a seat at the Dec. 12 event in Hollywood, FL. NJ qualifiers receive a two-night hotel stay and a $1,000 travel reimbursement.

The tournament will take place at The Guitar Hotel at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood. Players can enter the qualifying sweepstakes through Hard Rock Bet’s online casino app.

Opting in provides a free sweepstakes entry

Players must be at least 21, physically located in NJ, and have a verified Hard Rock Bet account in good standing.

Eligible players can opt into the active qualifier through the Hard Rock Bet casino app. The initial entry does not require a wager.

Players who choose to wager receive one additional entry for every $5 in cumulative cash wagers. Selected featured games award double entries, and Hard Rock Bet has not set a limit on the number of entries a player can earn.

The qualifiers are sweepstakes, with winners chosen randomly after each entry period closes. Accumulating entries does not automatically earn a seat in the Florida tournament.

Four qualifying periods run through November

New Jersey and Michigan players have the same four qualifying windows:

  • Oct. 5–18: Winners drawn Oct. 20.
  • Oct. 19–Nov. 1: Winners drawn Nov. 3.
  • Nov. 2–15: Winners drawn Nov. 17.
  • Nov. 16–29: Winners drawn Dec. 1.

Some winners receive a seat and bonus spins, while additional winners receive bonus spins without qualifying for the live event. Players must opt into each qualifying sweepstakes they wish to enter.

NJ qualifiers receive hotel accommodations and travel money

Hard Rock Bet will notify qualifiers by email and through the app, then send registration, reservation, and travel instructions.

Players must RSVP within 72 hours of their invitation and provide their Unity ID. Unity is Hard Rock’s loyalty program. Qualifiers must also reconfirm their attendance at least seven days before the tournament.

The hotel package includes Friday and Saturday nights, Dec. 11 and 12, at The Guitar Hotel. Registration and welcome activities are scheduled for Friday, followed by the tournament and awards on Saturday.

NJ qualifiers receive the $1,000 travel reimbursement in their Hard Rock Bet account at tournament registration. Hard Rock Bet says receipts are not required.

Tournament players compete for cash and bonus prizes

The live event uses slot machines in tournament mode, so participants compete for points without using personal funds during the rounds.

Each player receives two one-minute opening-round plays. Only the higher score counts toward advancement, with the top 10 players moving into a 2-minute semifinal.

The five highest-scoring semifinalists advance to the championship, where the highest score wins $1 million. Second place pays $100,000, and third pays $50,000.

Players finishing fourth through 10th receive between $15,000 and $45,000. Those placing 11th through 250th receive $10,000 each, while 251st through 498th receive $5,000 each.

Players below the cash-paying positions receive a $1,000 Games Bonus. Every live tournament participant receives a prize, although the bonus award is separate from the cash payouts.

Cash prizes will be credited to winners’ Hard Rock Bet accounts. Full tournament terms were still listed as forthcoming on Oct. 5. Players should review their in-app qualifier terms for eligibility, eligible games, and bonus restrictions.
