New Jersey online casino players can compete for $21,000 in PENN Play Credits through Sept. 28 in Hollywood Casino’s Lightning Link Daily Sprint.
The seven-day tournament awards $3,000 to the top 50 players on a daily leaderboard. To earn points, players must join each round and place cash wagers on Lightning Link High Stakes or Lightning Link Tiki Fire. The scoring method changes throughout the week.
According to the promotion terms, the tournament began at noon Eastern on Sept. 21 and ends at 11:59 a.m. on Sept. 28. A new round starts at noon each day, so players have until just before noon the next day to reach a qualifying score and finish in the top 50.
First place receives half the daily prize pool
The top finisher each day earns $1,500 in PENN Play Credits, half of that day’s $3,000 pool. Second place receives $300, followed by $200 for third.
Players ranked fourth through 10th get $50 each. Those finishing 11th through 20th receive $35, while 21st through 50th each receive $10. The prizes are based on a player’s final position when the daily round closes, rather than a position reached earlier in the day.
Hollywood Casino says it will add the credits to winners’ accounts within 72 hours of each round ending. Winners then have three days from receipt to use them.
The credits can be used on Hollywood Casino games or markets available through theScore Bet NJ. They cannot be withdrawn immediately as cash. A one-time wagering requirement applies before any resulting winnings can become withdrawable.
Scoring rules shift between wins and wagers
For the rounds beginning Sept. 23, 25, and 27, players earn one point for every $10 or more in winning cash wagers on the eligible games. They need at least two points on any of those days to qualify for a leaderboard award.
The Sept. 24 round instead gives one point for every 10 cents won on the two slots. Its qualifying minimum is 500 points.
On Sept. 26, the casino counts cumulative cash wagers, whether the wagers win or lose. Every $20 wagered on the eligible slots earns one point, and players need at least one point to qualify that day.
Each date refers to a round beginning at noon Eastern. The final round starts Sept. 27 and continues until the tournament ends just before noon Sept. 28. Reaching a day’s minimum only qualifies a player for consideration. The top 50 when that daily round ends receive prizes.
Players must join again each day
To take part, New Jersey players need an active, verified Hollywood Casino account and must tap or click “Join Now” for the round they want to enter. Participation does not carry over automatically from one day to the next.
All tournament wagers must be funded from a player’s cash wallet. PENN Play Credits do not earn points, and neither do wagers on other NJ online slots. Players who place cash bets on Lightning Link High Stakes or Lightning Link Tiki Fire without joining that day’s round also will not qualify.
The leaderboard updates automatically on Hollywood Casino’s tournament page. Players can check their point total and position there before a round ends. If players finish tied, the promotion terms say the one with the higher wagering handle during the promotion receives the higher-valued award.
