Parade has named Ocean Casino Resort one of the best hotels on the New Jersey shore. The magazine published the travel roundup on July 20 and covered eight properties from north to south.

How Ocean Casino Resort Made the Cut

Ocean was the only Atlantic City entry on the list. Parade presented the property as a beachfront resort and casino option.

Parade pointed to Ocean’s recently renovated guest rooms and its beachfront footprint. The property completed a multi-year renovation of all 1,860 rooms and suites last year. It spans more than 20 beachfront acres on the Boardwalk. Gaming played no part in the selection criteria.

The magazine also highlighted the 40,000-square-foot Exhale Spa + Bathhouse. Entertainment and nightlife venues also drew a mention, including HQ2 Beachclub and O Bar.

Competing Against Non-Casino Stays

The list ran heavily toward casino-free destinations. Towns such as Asbury Park, Spring Lake, Stone Harbor, and Cape May all appear alongside the single Atlantic City property.

That mix carries a point for Atlantic City. Casino resorts chase the same summer visitors as traditional shore hotels, inns, and boutique stays.

Parade put the shore’s length at roughly 130 miles. It also pointed to NJ Transit access for many shore towns, with a car more useful across a wider trip.

No Announcement Behind the Mention

Ocean issued no announcement tied to the inclusion. Parade drew no comparison between casino amenities and non-gaming hotel features. The roundup was otherwise a general travel genre.

The placement still puts Ocean in front of travelers weighing a shore stay. Beach access and a full-scale Atlantic City resort arrive in the same package.
