Attention, high-end slot players: Casinos have aimed another pitch at your emotional pay line.

Resorts Casino Hotel and DraftKings are the latest proponents of upper-echelon customer engagement, this one in the brick-and-mortar realm. They have unveiled a new lineup, seeking bigger players to support their on-site slot-machine menu. A string of new games with upscale wagering choices marks the rollout.

It also mirrors the industry trend of presenting robust live and online gaming choices – in tandem.

Past conventional wisdom held that NJ online casino action threatened revenue totals for brick-and-mortar Atlantic City casinos. But the two realms now blend into a synergy, stalking slot dollars.

Details of new live table games at DraftKings Sportsbook in Resorts AC

Recently, Resorts Atlantic City sent a press release announcing a major upgrade on its premises. At DraftKings Sportsbook, guests can now play live table games with bets starting at just $10. Hard to believe the word penny-slots ever existed.

While the 25-cent, 50-cent and $1 fee per spin still yield dependable play, operators dangle higher prizes and wagers before the public, which has been grabbing it. The industry-wide practice also features wild-card wagers and the bells-and-whistles of jackpots.

In Resorts’ latest rollout, there are over half a dozen new state-of-the-art electronic table games. A $5 side bet also was added across 24 traditional table games. New slot machines include over 20 popular games along with a new bank of tournament machines.

Gamblers can also play live table games at DraftKings Sportsbook every Thursday through Sunday. Table games include blackjack, Let It Ride, roulette and three-card poker. Bets start at $10.

The tables also feature a $5 side bet for the progressive jackpot, with a DJ every Friday and Saturday night starting at 8 p.m.

New electronic table games also will be on display. Guests can wager at blackjack, craps, roulette, and baccarat, with options to play one game or multiple games with varying limits. The electronic table games sit in the middle of the casino floor and across from Bar One.

Traditional table games also get a boost. A side bet progressive was added to the Blazing 7’s Blackjack game featuring Cashspin. Guests can sit at any blackjack-style table with a red sign for more chances to win big – including random jackpots.

A three-level progressive jackpot called “Cashspin Ultra” is also available across 24 tables games. This progressive jackpot was above $460,000 entering this past weekend.

Guests can make the $5 Cashspin Ultra side bet at blackjack, three-card poker, four-card poker, Mississippi Stud, Let it Ride, and Ultimate Texas Hold ‘Em tables.

Other newly added slot products include Monopoly Cash Wheel, Blazing 777’s SlotsDragon Train, Ultimate Fire Link Cash Falls, and Ultimate Fire Link Ultimate Explosion.

The casino touts another area with $1, $5, $10, $25, and $100 machines, exclusive cage window and self-pay jackpots.

A proverbial NJ online gambling buffet laid out by Resorts

The message here is about sizzle and steak. Sell the ambience. Sell the grandiose experience. Make people want to travel the Garden State to visit.

That’s one part of the marketing mantra.

Here’s the other: The online sales job.

The Resorts website reveals the emphasis on perceived exclusivity. Online slot players can obtain perks, points, and bonuses that can be converted into comp-type benefits at the casino. There’s an array of tournaments, sign-up deals, reload bonuses, and perks based on tier status.

It’s a massive gaming version of all-you-can eat.

Over the past weekend, patrons observed a whopping choice of over 1,500 individual games.

Betting prices ranged from under 50 cents to well over $100, depending upon max bet options.

There were 58 new games and 199 jackpot choices in the slot lineup. That’s a high number, indicating the need to captivate gamblers who can quickly tire of many games, especially given the ability to play them rapidly.

Gaming choices, both live or online, have never been higher.
