Where to watch games and bet on sports in New Jersey

Since shortly after its legalization in 2018, New Jersey sports betting has become an enormous industry. NJ attracts billions of dollars in wagers every year and creates millions in sports betting revenue for NJ casinos and racetracks.

With the popularity of online sports betting, bets can be placed from anywhere within NJ borders. But for many, nothing beats the thrill of watching a big game at a retail location alongside fellow fans. In New Jersey, there are currently 11 retail locations packed with books, huge TVs, and all the games your heart could desire.

Atlantic City Sportsbooks details and hours

Find more details about all of Atlantic City’s sportsbooks, as well as retail betting options at NJ racetracks, below. All hours of operation listed below are in Eastern Time and are subject to change. Also, be aware that at most locations, those hours will be extended for special sporting events, and that even when the betting windows are closed, you can typically still place wagers at the betting kiosks.

Caesars AC Sportsbook at Wild Wild West

sportsbook at ballys ac nfl bettingThe Caesars AC Sportsbook at Wild Wild West Casino is the largest book in Atlantic City. It is located on the lower level of Caesars Atlantic City, in the Wild Wild West Casino.

The sprawling 15,228-square-foot venue features a 98-feet-by-18-feet high-resolution LED TV wall, seating for over 100 people, and a bar with video poker. The facility has 10 betting windows, betting kiosks, and a VIP area.

The location also features five private “Fan Caves” built into the venue. These rental spaces can accommodate 16 to 24 people and include entertainment equipment, including an HD TV and gaming consoles. Food is available for purchase from Guy’s Bar-B-Que Joint or the AC Snack Shack. You can also visit Caesars Online Sportsbook and take your wagering home.

Caesars AC Sportsbook at Wild Wild West Hours of Operation:

  • Monday-Thursday: 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m.-12 a.m.
  • Saturday-Sunday: 9 a.m.-12 a.m.

BetMGM AC Sportsbook & Bar

borgata ac sportsbook new jerseyThe Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa had previously featured what were essentially two books with both a regular and a separate racebook, where you could additionally bet on sports. The racebook is no more, but bettors can still place wagers at the BetMGM AC Sportsbook & Bar.

It features a large 40-feet-by-11.5-feet video wall and 17 other large monitors. There is seating for 144 people, six betting windows, and a full-service food and drink menu for patrons. There is also a VIP lounge, which features (among other things) a banquet area.

You can order food and drinks from the restaurant whenever it is open. It also features fun promotions, such as picking contests during the NFL season. If you enjoyed it and want to bring BetMGM Sportsbook home, you can also wager online.

BetMGM AC Sportsbook & Bar Hours of Operation:

  • Sunday-Thursday: 12 p.m.-12 a.m.
  • Friday-Saturday: 12 p.m.-1 a.m.

Golden Nugget AC Sportsbook

sports betting golden nugget ac

The Golden Nugget Atlantic City sportsbook is located in a 2,500-square-foot space that’s a makeover of the former poker room. Golden Nugget Atlantic City includes 50 televisions spread across five video walls and seating for more than 100. There are also four betting windows and nine self-betting kiosks available for placing wagers.

Promos like boosted parlays and in-play betting are available at the Golden Nugget AC sportsbook. There is limited seating available from which you can order food and drinks while you follow the action.

One quirk about betting at Golden Nugget in Atlantic City is that it does not accept bets on the Houston Rockets. Casino owner Tilman Fertitta is also the owner of the Rockets, creating a conflict of interest across the entire property. You can also place bets from home at the Golden Nugget Online Sportsbook.

The Book at Golden Nugget Hours of Operation:

  • Monday-Friday: 3 p.m.-11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.
  • Sunday: 10 a.m.-11 p.m.

Hard Rock AC Sportsbook

nj hard rock sportsbook atlantic cityThe 3,800-square-foot Hard Rock AC Sportsbook is located on the north end of the casino at Hard Rock Atlantic City near the Sugar Factory restaurant. Within that area, you’ll find no fewer than 40 televisions broadcasting games, with limited seating available.

Despite being such a relatively small space compared to some Atlantic City locations, it’s a great place to catch a game or have a drink. The full-service bar can serve all manner of refreshments and has video poker slots to distract you when the game isn’t going well.

Hard Rock AC Sportsbook Hours of Operation:

  • Sunday-Thursday: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Friday-Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Caesars AC Sportsbook at Harrah’s

harrah's atlantic city sportsbookThe book at Harrah’s Atlantic City is a similar, if smaller, location to its big brother at Wild Wild West. The venue spreads across 3,800 square feet and features LED televisions on every wall. In addition, there is ample plush seating and food service by AC Burger Co.

There is ample seating available for following the action. For those who wish to bet or relax in private, there are also two “Fan Caves” available for rental. Each cave is equipped with all the necessary amenities for observing games and can accommodate up to 10 guests.

Caesars AC Sportsbook at Harrah’s Hours of Operation:

  • Monday-Thursday: 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
  • Friday: 10 a.m.-12 a.m.
  • Saturday-Sunday: 9 a.m.-12 a.m.

FanDuel AC Sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack

fanduel sportsbook meadowlands nj

The FanDuel AC Sportsbook at the Meadowlands Racetrack marked the daily fantasy sports company’s initial leap into the sports betting game in New Jersey. While bettors across NJ can use the online FanDuel Sportbook for wagering, there are a couple of different retail locations powered by FanDuel as well, including one in Atlantic City at Bally’s (discussed below) and this one in East Rutherford in northern New Jersey.

What makes this location stand out is its proximity to New York City. MetLife Stadium, home of the New York Giants and Jets, is nearby, too. Other than that, its other claim to fame is being the largest option in New Jersey. It also features over 50 LED televisions surrounding the Victory Sports Bar. Parking is free on days when MetLife Stadium is not hosting an event or a sports game. Plus, the FanDuel Online Sportsbook allows you to continue your bets from home.

FanDuel AC Sportsbook at the Meadowlands Track Hours of Operation:

  • Monday-Friday: 10 a.m.-1 a.m.
  • Saturday: 8 a.m.-1 a.m.
  • Sunday: 8 a.m.-12 a.m.

Caesars AC Sportsbook at Monmouth Park

sportsbook new jersey monmouth whThe origins of Monmouth Park date back to 1870, but the Oceanport-based track is also central to more recent NJ sports betting history. That’s because it is where New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy placed the first legal sports bet in the state on June 14, 2018.

A brand-new, 16,000-square-foot Caesars Sportsbook at Monmouth Park opened on November 22, 2025. It is a hybrid indoor-outdoor venue located at the track’s first quarter-pole. There is a Shake Shack, more than 25 self-serve kiosks, a center bar, and a VIP section overlooking the track. In horse racing, the biggest event on the Monmouth Park calendar is the $1 million Haskell Invitational, held each summer, and the new venue is an ideal place from which to enjoy it.

Caesars AC Sportsbook at Monmouth Park Hours of Operation:

  • Monday-Friday: 10 a.m.-11 p.m.
  • Saturday-Sunday: 9 a.m.-11 p.m

The Gallery Bar, Book & Games at Ocean Casino Resort

The story of Ocean Casino Resort is rougher than the waves in the Atlantic Ocean. After the property earlier failed (as the Revel) and changed hands multiple times, the Michigan-based Ilitch Companies, which owns MotorCity Casino, the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Red Wings, and the Little Caesars pizza chain, now holds an ownership stake in Ocean Casino Resort.

The property’s book is now known as The Gallery Bar, Book & Games.  The 12,000-square-foot space features a 100-foot elevated bar and lounge, blackjack and roulette tables, and 140 feet of LED walls. Additionally, the Balcony Bar is the place to enjoy an ultimate VIP experience.

The Gallery Bar, Book & Games at Ocean Casino Resort Hours of Operation:

  • Sunday-Thursday: 12:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 12:30 p.m.-12 a.m.
  • Saturday: 11 a.m.-12 a.m.

DraftKings AC Sportsbook at Resorts

The property, one of the smallest in Atlantic City, has undergone several ownership changes over its long history. Resorts is currently managed by Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment.

The retail book at Resorts carries DraftKings branding and decor. With VIP seating and a 15-foot video wall, the 5,000-square-foot space also features 18 betting kiosks, five betting windows, and a live odds feed.

DraftKings AC Sportsbook at Resorts Hours of Operation:

  • Saturday-Thursday: 11 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
  • Friday: 4 p.m.-10 p.m.

Caesars Atlantic City Sportsbook at Tropicana

william hill sportsbook tropicana acTropicana Atlantic City first opened way back in 1981 and, over the years, has undergone several ownership changes and expansions. In 2018, it was acquired by Gaming and Leisure Properties and Eldorado Resorts as part of a larger $1.85 billion deal. As of 2020, there are now three Caesars Entertainment properties in Atlantic City.

The book is operated by Caesars and includes 180 seats, a large video wall featuring panoramic LED screens, and a 250-square-foot odds board. It is located near Chickie’s and Pete’s Crab House & Sports Bar.

Caesars AC Sportsbook at Tropicana Hours of Operation:

  • Saturday-Sunday: 9 a.m.-12 a.m.
  • Monday: 10 a.m.-12 a.m.
  • Tuesday-Wednesday: 12 p.m.-8 p.m.
  • Thursday-Friday: 10 a.m.-12 a.m.

Bally Bet AC Sportsbook

Bally’s Atlantic City opened its doors in 1979, one of the first casinos in Atlantic City. Once Bally’s became part of the Bally’s Corporation (formerly Twin River Worldwide) in 2020, the former Caesars property had the option to add its own sports wagering venue.

The permanent 4,100-square-foot Bally Bet AC Sportsbook opened in early 2021. It features a central 25-foot-wide LED video wall, eight self-serve betting kiosks, three staffed betting windows, a luxury 80-seat lounge with 30 reclining club chairs, plus a full food and beverage menu that includes self-service craft beer.

Bally Bet AC Sportsbook Hours of Operation:

  • Sunday: 11 a.m.-10 p.m.
  • Monday-Thursday: 12 p.m. to 10 p.m.
  • Friday-Saturday: 11 a.m.-11 p.m.

Bet in person at Atlantic City sportsbooks

Atlantic City sportsbooks offer some of the best sports betting experiences on the East Coast, with massive screens, full-service bars, and the electric atmosphere of a casino floor. Whether you’re looking for the sprawling Fan Caves at Wild Wild West, the racetrack-side experience at Monmouth Park, or a more intimate setup at one of the boardwalk properties, there’s a book to match every preference. Check individual locations’ hours before you visit Atlantic City sportsbooks, as they may change around major sporting events.
