How many times you must wager the bonus before it becomes withdrawable cash. A 10x playthrough on a $100 bonus means $1,000 of wagers. It is the single number that decides what an offer is actually worth, and the one most likely to be buried in the terms rather than shown next to the headline.
Not every game counts equally toward the playthrough. Slots typically count 100%, table games often 10% or less, and some titles are excluded entirely. A generous bonus on a site whose weighting excludes your game is not generous.
Most bonuses cap the stake you can place while a playthrough is active. Exceed it and you can forfeit the bonus and anything won with it. It is the most common way people lose an offer without realising, because the cap is rarely shown at the point of betting.
