Four-time Super Bowl champion and former NFL All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski will be available to interact in real-time exclusively to New Jersey online casino players when he logs on to the FanDuel Casino app on Thursday.
For an hour starting at 6 p.m. ET, “Gronk,” as he is affectionately known, will take part in a Q&A via the FanDuel Casino NJ mobile app while he plays roulette.
This event will only be available in New Jersey.
“Any FanDuel Casino customer in New Jersey can join my table right from their phone with the FanDuel Casino app,” Gronkowski said in a video posted to X (formerly Twitter).
“I’ll be reading and responding to your messages in real-time. “So come play roulette with me and let’s have some fun.”
Get to know Gronk ahead of FanDuel Casino Q&A
New Jersey is one of only seven states with an active legal online casino market. The state also has online sports betting and a state lottery, making it one of the only states that is a “triple threat” gaming jurisdiction.
Live casino players on the FanDuel Casino app in New Jersey will be able to access an exclusive Q&A chat room and possibly interact with Gronkowski. The former tight end won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots and another with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Known for his great athletic ability as a pass catcher and blocker from his demanding position, Gronkowski was named to the NFL’s 2010s All-Decade Team, as well as the NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team.
Since his retirement from the NFL following the 2021 season, Gronkowski has pursued a career as an actor, pitchman for several brands (including FanDuel, Cheerios, and Lyft), and television and podcast host. He’s also part-owner of Gronk Fitness, and has appeared at Wrestlemania events and on episodes of The Masked Singer.
FanDuel Casino NJ brings in Gronk as it builds market share
FanDuel Casino offers several live-dealer games, including roulette, blackjack and baccarat. The live-dealer feature has certainly helped FanDuel become one of the go-to online casinos in New Jersey.
Since state regulators started reporting skin-by-skin revenue reports in January, FanDuel Casino has recorded $120.9 million in NJ online casino revenue, equivalent to nearly 21% of the market share. Of the 31 operators in the Garden State, only DraftKings has reported a higher total in 2024.
Of course, iGaming in New Jersey stands as one of the most formidable online casino industries in the country. Last month, led by DraftKings and FanDuel, NJ online casinos combined for a record-setting $197.2 million.
It’s only a matter of time before iGaming crosses the $200 million threshold.
