Hard Rock Bet has rolled out an innovative new live dealer experience called Atlantic City Live Roulette, allowing New Jersey online casino players to bet on the same physical roulette table and wheel being used on the casino floor at the Hard Rock Atlantic City. It’s now live 24/7 for players in New Jersey on the Hard Rock app and website.
Powered by industry partner Playtech, this feature bridges the gap between digital and in-person gaming, blending authentic casino energy with the convenience of playing from a phone or laptop.
How Atlantic City live roulette works
Atlantic City Live Roulette works like this:
- Live feed from the casino floor: Instead of a computer-generated wheel or studio stream, your game shows a real roulette wheel in the Atlantic City casino, with a live dealer spinning the ball in real time.
- Real bets on a real wheel: Online players place digital bets through Hard Rock Bet’s platform, but those wagers are tied to the actual physical wheel and table that guests in the casino can see happening at the same time.
- Standard roulette rules apply: Roulette features a wheel with numbered red and black pockets (plus green zero/zeros) and a dealer spins the ball in the opposite direction of the wheel spin. Players place bets on number(s), colors, odd/even, or other combinations before the dealer calls “no more bets.”
- Bet types and payouts: Different wagers pay different odds – for example a straight-up number bet has a higher payout than even/odd or red/black – but all follow standard roulette mechanics you’d see in a casino.
Online players join in through a live video feed, placing bets digitally and watching the same wheel spin that’s visible on the actual casino floor, creating a hybrid experience that amplifies engagement, said Rich Criado, VP of casino at Hard Rock Bet.

What this means for NJ players
Atlantic City Live Roulette adds to Hard Rock Bet’s robust iGaming lineup, which includes more than 3,800 titles spanning slots, table games, and other live dealer options.
The experience is exclusive to New Jersey players over 21 who are physically located in the state. It’s part of a broader move by iGaming operators to offer more immersive, interactive live-dealer formats that mimic the social, real-time feel of visiting a retail casino.
