Goldhoff succeeds Mark Giannantonio, president and CEO of Resorts Atlantic City, who held the leadership role for nearly four years.
The CANJ advocates for the Atlantic City casino industry. It works with government officials and community leaders on issues affecting gaming, tourism, and economic development.
Hard Rock president takes industry leadership role
Goldhoff said he is honored to step into the position and continue promoting Atlantic City as a premier resort destination.
“It is an honor to step into the role of Casino Association of New Jersey president and continue the strong foundation that Mark Giannantonio helped build.”
Goldhoff added that the retail industry in Atlantic City industry remains a key economic driver for the state.
“The Atlantic City casino industry plays a vital role in our state’s economy, from supporting jobs to driving investment and attracting visitors from across the region.
“I look forward to working alongside our members, local officials, and state leaders to build on this momentum and further strengthen Atlantic City’s position as a world-class resort destination.”
Casino leadership experience
Goldhoff brings more than three decades of experience in the gaming, hospitality, and entertainment industries to the role.
He joined Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in early 2023 after serving as president of Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati. While there, he oversaw a rebrand and several years of growth for the property.
Before joining Hard Rock, Goldhoff served as president and CEO of PURE Canadian Gaming, overseeing multiple casino properties in Western Canada.
Earlier in his career, he helped launch the Bellagio in Las Vegas. He also served as general manager of Gold Strike Casino Resort in Tunica, MS.
Big shoes to fill
Giannantonio led CANJ during a period that included the industry’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and continued expansion of New Jersey online casinos and online sports betting.
Giannantonio said it had been a privilege to serve the organization and support the city’s gaming industry.
“I am deeply passionate about this city and industry, and I believe we have a real opportunity to advance Atlantic City’s transformation as a premier destination for gaming, entertainment and hospitality.”
The Casino Association of New Jersey represents operators and works to promote policies that support the industry and the thousands of jobs it provides across the state.
