An Atlantic City man has been sentenced to three years in prison for acting as a lookout during a vehicle burglary at Ocean Casino Resort’s parking garage, according to BreakingAC.

Kevin Thomas, 31, pleaded guilty in September. He was already serving time in connection with earlier burglary and theft cases.

Vehicle burglary captured on Ocean Casino surveillance

The March 31 incident took place on the fourth floor of the Atlantic City resort’s parking garage and was captured on surveillance.

Adam Ross, 35, allegedly burglarized the vehicle while Thomas kept watch. More than $500 worth of items were stolen, according to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, as reported by BreakingAC.

Ross’s case remains pending. The allegations against him have not resulted in a conviction in this case.

Thomas had recently been released from prison

Thomas was released from prison on March 25 after serving about a year and a month of a five-year sentence for earlier burglaries and thefts, BreakingAC reported.

Those cases dated to 2022 and involved offenses in Atlantic County, including Egg Harbor Township and multiple cases in Hamilton Township. Thomas had pleaded to 14 counts, according to state Department of Corrections records cited by BreakingAC.

He was arrested in the Ocean Casino vehicle burglary case on May 14. A week later, he was sent back to prison for violating his probation.
