Bally’s has finally brought its online sports betting product to New Jersey, thanks to the Tuesday launch of a unified Bally Sportsbook & Casino app. Although Bally Bet sportsbook has been available in the US since 2021, it relaunched on a new platform last year, and this marks the first time the sports betting product has been available in the Garden State.
The Bally’s brand has had a strong presence in the Garden State gambling market thanks to its retail casino. However, that’s been under new ownership since 2020, and the brand’s foray into online gambling only began with that acquisition.
Bally Casino NJ is migrating current customers to the new app that includes the sportsbook.
Bally’s combines sports betting, casino into one app
Bally Bet Sportsbook is live in 10 states across the US. The operator finally brought it to New Jersey, and combined it with its online casino.
Adding sports betting is going to be another revenue stream for the operator to count on in the Garden State. Brett Calapp, COO of North America Interactive for Bally’s, called the launch a milestone for the company in a press release emailed to PlayNJ:
“This unified platform combines our existing apps’ features and functionality, offering New Jersey players a seamless sports and casino betting experience. Enhancing the player experience remains a crucial focus in personalizing the fun while playing Bally Bet.”
Bally’s partnered with White Hat Gaming to launch a new platform, which seamlessly allows customers to switch between the casino and sports betting using a single wallet.
Discontinuing old app for migration process
Bally’s has an entirely new platform that customers are going to have to get used to. That means the company is ditching the current casino app.
However, Bally’s is ensuring a smooth transition to the new app. Customers can expect to receive a series of messages either through the current app, email or social media that provides instructions on on the migration process.
What to expect with Bally’s online sportsbook
Bally’s has been operating its online casino in New Jersey since 2021. Not much is expected to change there, as the operator still offers slots, table games and live dealer titles.
However, New Jersey sports betting is a new endeavor for the company. According to the website, Bally’s is going to be offering “hundreds of markets.” Here’s a snippet from the sportsbook:
“Our sportsbook is bursting at the seams with betting opportunities. You can bet on traditional moneylines, spreads, and totals just as easily as you can bet on parlays, props, and futures. The breadth of the markets we offer here reflect how committed we are to providing fun for all.”
Bally bettors will be able to bet on all markets, except for New Jersey universities, which is prohibited for every sportsbook across the state.
Since Bally Bet is live in 10 states, the company believes it’s successful enough to bring to the Garden State. Only time will tell to see how it performs in the coming months.
