BetMGM and Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City are announcing the launch of Dual Play Baccarat. Customers on BetMGM Casino can now play at the same tables with players that are at the physical Borgata Atlantic City.

Evolution Gaming is partnered with both BetMGM and Borgata, which will bring the action to those who wish to play at online. Cameras will be displayed at the tables, making it a first-class, and real-time experience for those virtually. The game is played with a human dealer at the Borgata.

Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM’s VP of Gaming and Product Content, said in a statement:

“Dual Play Baccarat is one of the best ways to bring the excitement of live table games to our online casino players.

“Similar to the familiar slot titles like Buffalo and Wheel of Fortune at BetMGM, we look for ways to build connections to on-property play and games that resonate with players.”

An unlimited amount of online players can join the action.

Dual play becoming more popular offering in New Jersey

This is not the first time Atlantic City casinos and online casinos have come together. BetMGM and Evolution launched Dual Play Roulette at the Borgata back in August 2023. That game includes a human dealer, too.

Hard Rock and Resorts beat MGM to the punch by five years, each launching Dual Play Roulette in 2018. However, Hard Rock has since removed the offering, while Resorts still offers Dual Play, but only in the form of an Auto-Roulette table. That’s a fully automated but mechanical game on the gaming floor with no human dealer. Still, retail guests and online players can use it simultaneously.

Because of iGaming in the Garden State, providing customers an omnichannel experience has been a priority for gambling companies. For Borgata and BetMGM, Dual Play Baccarat strengthens those efforts. James Bruno, Borgata’ VP of Casino operations, said:

“Borgata has long been a leader in gaming innovation, and the launch of Dual Play Baccarat further elevates that reputation.

“This dynamic addition bridges the energy of our casino floor with the convenience of online play, offering players an immersive and seamless way to engage with one of their favorite games.”

This type of offering would not be possible without Evolution, who powers live dealer games in multiple states. Operators employ Evolution to provide the best possible omnichannel experience for customers.

Jacob Claesson, Evolution North America CEO, referenced the company’s involvement with the roulette offering that launched in 2023. He said in a statement:

“Evolution Dual Play Baccarat is an innovative product that brings together land-based players and an unlimited number of online players at the same casino table.

“This game is the first of its kind in the United States, and we’re very excited for BetMGM to be leading the way with this type of omnichannel initiative. Dual Play Baccarat follows the launch of Dual Play Roulette that opened in 2023 at Borgata, which quickly became a very popular way to play roulette.

“We’re incredibly proud of our partnership with BetMGM and fully committed to supporting them as they continue to innovate and build truly engaging player experiences.”
