BetMGM and Borgata Online players in New Jersey can now remotely play real slot machines after both platforms added Awager’s live-streamed casino offering.
The new option gives players access to physical cabinets operating inside regulated studios rather than digital recreations of the same games. It adds another format to New Jersey’s growing online casino market, sitting alongside conventional online slots and live dealer table games.
The offering launches with 50 slot cabinets featuring more than 30 titles, including Aristocrat Gaming games Buffalo Ascension and Lightning Link.

Players remotely control physical slot machines
Players control the physical machines remotely while watching the action through a live 4K video stream.
Players connect to the machines through BetMGM or Borgata Online on a mobile device or desktop. The stream includes the machine’s actual audio, with little delay between a player’s input and the cabinet’s response.
Unlike conventional online slots, each spin takes place on a physical cabinet inside the studio. The format also differs from live dealer casino games, which stream table games operated by human dealers.
BetMGM did not disclose the studio’s location, available wager ranges, or whether every title will be offered around the clock.
BetMGM says partnership could expand
The launch makes Awager’s live slots available through both BetMGM Casino and Borgata Online in New Jersey. BetMGM operates both brands, although the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement reports their revenue separately.
“The addition of Awager’s live slots offering creates an exciting new way for our players to engage with slot machines digitally,” BetMGM Director of Gaming Rob Passerino said.
Passerino described the rollout as the beginning of the partnership and said the companies would explore additional opportunities. However, the announcement did not identify other states, games, or features planned for the service.
The addition comes a little more than a month after BetMGM relaunched Borgata Online with a redesigned interface, a consolidated rewards hub and a library of 4,000 games. That platform also includes 250 exclusive titles and a full live dealer lineup.
Live slots are already available through other NJ casinos
BetMGM and Borgata are not the first New Jersey casino brands to offer Awager’s technology. FanDuel introduced the provider’s live slots in the state in 2025, while Caesars launched Remote Reels that June using physical machines housed in a studio at Tropicana Atlantic City.
The latest partnership expands the format to two of the state’s larger online casino brands. BetMGM generated $35.4 million in New Jersey online casino revenue during June, while Borgata reported $21.2 million. Together, they accounted for $56.6 million of the state’s $271 million monthly total.
Awager operates multiple studios across North America and Europe and says it offers its technology exclusively in regulated markets. Its platform combines proprietary hardware, software, and streaming technology designed to support different slot cabinets and gaming environments.
Aristocrat completed its acquisition of Awager in November 2025. Although the price was initially undisclosed, Aristocrat later reported total consideration of $79 million based on provisional purchase-price accounting. The acquisition added live slot-streaming technology to an Aristocrat portfolio that already included the two games highlighted in the BetMGM launch.
