BetMGM Poker has finally merged pools involving players in New Jersey and Michigan. After the app had been down, the operator announced it is back up and running and Wednesday morning.
PlayNJ reported the news earlier on Wednesday about BetMGM sharing liquidity between the two states. That has finally come to fruition.
NJ online poker players are certainly going to benefit from the larger player and prize pools.
Existing BetMGM players are eligible for a 100% deposit match up to $500. However, new players have an even better offer, which includes a deposit bonus up to $1,000. New players can claim that bonus through PlayNJ‘s BetMGM Poker Review.
BetMGM includes merged tables
BetMGM Poker is back after alerting players of a temporary shutdown on Wednesday morning, which did not last very long. Players were greeted with the following message:
“We are aware that some customers are experiencing issues. We’re undergoing a planned maintenance to enhance your experience. Please know that our teams are working to get everything back up and running, and we’ll update you once we’re fully restored.
Now that the platform has been restored, the combined player pools from Michigan comes with the following upgrades:
- More Cash Games: Hold ‘Em and Omaha games are available 24/7 from micros to high stakes.
- Increased SPINS Multiplier: Players can win up to $100,000 as top multipliers have all increased 2400x the SPINS buy-in with a new $50 buy-in.
- New Tournament Schedule: Features increased weekly guarantees.
- Big Shots: BetMGM’s newest weekly tournament series.
SPINS are BetMGM Poker’s take on the lottery sit-and-go format. These three-handed tournaments have an ultra-fast blind structure and randomized payouts.
Games and tournaments available
Cash games such as Hold ‘Em and Omaha are already available on the platform. There are tables as low as $2 and has high as $100. Here’s what it looks like:
Although BetMGM Poker promises that Omaha will be available around the clock thanks to shared traffic, that still depends on player interest in the format. When we checked the site shortly after it started up again, the only Omaha game running was at the $0.01/$0.02 stake level. Players interested in playing any higher than the microstakes may still need to wait for evening prime time to find a game.
The tournament lobby is expansive with contests scheduled all throughout the day. Payouts range from $10 to $20,000:
Sharing player pools between New Jersey and Michigan provides BetMGM players in those states a much better poker experience.
Those in the Garden State can test their skills on new competition, which should be a breath of fresh air.
