Evolution plans to bring its Ice Fishing live casino game show to North America during the fourth quarter. The fishing-themed game gives players a choice of wheel bets and three bonus rounds.

The developer confirmed the planned rollout in its third-quarter report. The report did not provide a NJ launch date or name participating casinos. Ice Fishing combines a virtual money wheel with a live host who reels in fish during the bonus rounds, revealing multipliers that determine the payouts.

The update also highlighted Spinning Whale, Evolution’s new online slots brand aimed at US players. Its first game is 888 Dragon’s Fortune Hold’n’Win, with a wider North American debut scheduled for November.

Evolution’s companywide net revenue increased 3.7% year over year to approximately $584 million in the third quarter, compared with $562.9 million a year earlier. North American revenue grew 13.6% over the same period.

Ice Fishing offers wheel bets and three bonus games

Ice Fishing first launched internationally in August 2025. Set against an Arctic backdrop, the live casino game show uses a 53-segment wheel to determine whether a round produces an immediate payout or moves into a fishing bonus. Evolution designed the format around shorter rounds and quicker results.

Players place their wagers before the wheel spins and before any extra multipliers are assigned. Leaf 1 and Leaf 2 are the immediate-payout options, with a winning bet paid when the wheel stops on a matching segment.

The other individual betting spots are Lil’ Blues, Big Oranges, and Huge Reds. Each corresponds to a different fishing bonus, which begins if the wheel lands on one of that bonus game’s segments.

Players can also choose All Bonuses to cover all three fishing bonuses with one betting option. Alternatively, they can place separate wagers on individual spots, including a combination of Leaf and bonus bets. The amounts wagered on each selected spot make up the total stake for that round.

Multipliers can increase the value of a fishing bonus

The three fishing bonuses have different starting multiplier ranges:

  • Lil’ Blues: 3x to 100x.
  • Big Oranges: 4x to 200x.
  • Huge Reds: 10x to 500x.

After betting closes, multipliers of up to 10x may be assigned to wheel segments. These can increase payouts on winning Leaf bets or boost all fish multipliers in the corresponding fishing bonus before the host begins fishing.

During the bonus, the host gradually reels in a fish, revealing its final multiplier once the catch is out of the water. Only players whose wagers cover the winning bonus receive a payout from the fishing sequence, though everyone can watch it.

Combining a 10x boost with the highest Huge Reds multiplier produces the game’s advertised maximum of 5,000 times the wager.

Spinning Whale opens with a slot inspired by casino floors

Evolution introduced Spinning Whale Sept. 29. Its first game, 888 Dragon’s Fortune Hold’n’Win, has an Asian theme and draws inspiration from traditional land-based slot machines, bringing that style of casino game to US online players.

Evolution said Spinning Whale was developed around North American preferences for themes, game features, visual presentation, and volatility. Volatility describes how widely payouts can vary during play, including the balance between smaller, more frequent wins and larger, less frequent payouts.

Spinning Whale’s wider North American debut is planned for November, with additional games expected in 2027. The launch announcement did not identify participating NJ online casinos or give a separate release date for the state.
