Seastreak is in preliminary talks about a high-speed ferry connecting Lower Manhattan with Atlantic City’s Farley State Marina, near Golden Nugget, according to Secret NYC.
The proposed service could begin as early as Memorial Day weekend 2027 if a trial program is approved. No schedule or operating plan is final.
Proposed Route Would Arrive Near Golden Nugget
The ferry would depart from the Battery in Lower Manhattan and arrive at Farley State Marina. The estimated journey is two hours and 45 minutes, with a proposed fare of about $145.
For visitors heading to Golden Nugget, the proposed arrival point is the route’s direct casino connection. It would offer a car-free trip from Manhattan to Atlantic City’s marina area, rather than a Boardwalk arrival.
The reported fare remains an estimate, and the service’s operating frequency has not been established.
A 2027 Trial Is Still Under Discussion
Seastreak’s Courageous and Commodore ferries each carry 600 passengers and have Wi-Fi, plush seating and a fully stocked bar. Those vessels also serve summer routes from New York City to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket; their availability for an Atlantic City route remains an open question.
The proposal is exploratory, not a confirmed launch. Secret NYC quoted James D. Barker as saying: “This isn’t a sure thing. We’re really just exploring the idea.”
Approval of a trial program, vessel availability and a final schedule are still unresolved. The potential 2027 start, travel time and fare should therefore be treated as proposed details rather than settled travel arrangements.
