Hard Rock Bet’s Mega Jackpot in New Jersey has climbed past $2.5 million, establishing a new record for the operator’s progressive prize.
The record had been $2,097,043.30, won by a player on July 4 who was playing Silver Lux – Sevens Hold’em Respin on a $2 wager. At the time, it was the largest single payout in Hard Rock Bet Casino history.
A month later, the jackpot has topped that amount as it closes in on $3 million.

Mega Jackpot adds more than $850K in two weeks
The milestone comes just weeks after PlayNJ reported that the jackpot had reached $1.65 million and was approaching the previous all-time high.
After the last win in July, the Mega Jackpot reset to its $100,000 starting value, meaning the current pot has grown by more than $2.4 million in a little over a month.
Hard Rock Bet Casino has produced three seven-figure Mega winners in New Jersey since launching the progressive feature in April:
- Deborah S. of South Plainfield won $1,942,272.47 on May 11 while playing Bag the Swag: Hold & Win.
- Another player won $1,937,382.05 on Hot Rod Hog on June 4.
- The July 4 winner won more than $2 million.
Those three payouts totaled nearly $6 million. The next winner is now guaranteed to take home the biggest Mega Jackpot Hard Rock Bet has awarded in New Jersey.
How players can hit the Mega Jackpot
The Mega is the largest of four progressive jackpot tiers available through Hard Rock Casino NJ, along with the Mini, Minor, and Major.
Players opt into the feature before playing an eligible game, with each qualifying spin adding $0.20 toward the progressive jackpot system. Any qualifying spin has a chance to trigger a prize regardless of the size of the underlying wager.
The feature spans more than 4,300 eligible games in New Jersey, including Cash Eruption, Huff N More Puff, Divine Fortune, Cleopatra, and Buffalo.
Hard Rock Bet says the Mega has been won on 20 different games across New Jersey and Michigan since the feature launched. The two states have separate jackpot pools.
New record still waiting to be claimed
The current jackpot is now closing in on $3 million, which would put it more than $900,000 above the July 4 payout.
There is no set date for when the Mega will hit. It will continue growing until a qualifying spin triggers the prize, leaving Hard Rock Bet’s new record waiting to be claimed.
