A lucky Hard Rock player turned a $2 slot spin into a $2,097,043.30 jackpot win in the early hours of July 4 in New Jersey.

It’s the third time the Mega Jackpot has been hit on the Hard Rock Bet Online Casino NJ platform, and the first time the prize has eclipsed $2 million.

The progressive jackpot win came right in time to celebrate America’s 250th birthday.

Third Mega Jackpot winner since April launch

While New Jersey online casinos offer tons of generous jackpots, this is the third time Hard Rock has made a millionaire. The winning spin landed on Silver Lux – Sevens Hold’em Respin, a game by Greentube.

The last winner came close to the $2 million mark, winning $1,937,382 on June 4 while playing Hot Rod Hog by Bragg Gaming. The first winner struck on May 11, earning a jackpot of $1,942,272.47.

The July 4 player set the new record for Hard Rock, netting more than $154,000 of the previous high.

How the jackpots work

Hard Rock Bet’s proprietary jackpot network features four progressive jackpot tiers, which launched in April:

  • Mini
  • Minor
  • Major
  • Mega

The jackpots are available across thousands of eligible online slots on the platform. Players can opt into the jackpot network by contributing an additional $0.20 per spin, which feeds a shared jackpot pool across participating games.

Bet sizes do not trigger a particular tier, either. Hard Rock Bet says every eligible spin carries a random chance to award one of the jackpot tiers.

Some of the eligible titles for the jackpots are:

  • Cleopatra
  • Buffalo
  • Cash Eruption
  • Huff N More Puff
  • Divine Fortune
  • Whitney Houston

The jackpot resets to $100,000 and has already begun to climb.

Lucky winner at Hard Rock Atlantic City

It was certainly a banner Independence Day for Hard Rock customers in both verticals. Hard Rock Atlantic City awarded a Florida woman over $1 million for a jackpot win on July 5.

Hard Rock is one of the top operators in the Garden State with a strong online presence and popular Atlantic City casino. The property has leveraged both, including offering NJ online casino bonuses, to remain a competitive player in a crowded gambling space.

Customers can win big at Hard Rock, whether in Atlantic City or at home on the couch.
