New Jersey online casinos remained ahead of last year’s pace in August, generating $259.3 million. That was up 4.4% from $248.4 million in August 2025.
The monthly total was 6.4% below the record $276.9 million reported in July, ending a run of three consecutive months above $270 million.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement published the results on Sept. 16. Through the first eight months of 2026, online casino revenue reached $2.13 billion, an increase of 13.2% from $1.88 billion during the same period last year.
FanDuel remains ahead despite revenue decline
FanDuel Casino remained New Jersey’s leading online casino brand with $56.7 million in August revenue. However, the total was 0.7% below the $57.1 million it generated last August.
DraftKings Casino ranked second with $43.5 million, down 7.5% year over year. FanDuel finished approximately $13.2 million ahead of DraftKings, compared with a gap of about $10 million between the two brands in August 2025.
BetMGM Casino followed with $35.1 million, up 7.8%, while Borgata Online Casino generated $20.6 million and finished nearly flat year over year. Together, FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and Borgata accounted for slightly more than 60% of statewide revenue.
Caesars Palace Online Casino produced $19.3 million, up 6.8%. Hard Rock Bet Casino followed with $15.2 million, increasing its revenue by 13.3%.
FanDuel Casino also leads the year-to-date market with $483.4 million, up 16.2%. DraftKings Casino has generated $369.7 million, down 0.3%, while BetMGM Casino has increased 11% to $271.8 million.
Fanatics records strongest growth among larger brands
Fanatics Casino generated $13.1 million in August revenue, up 30.7% from $10 million a year earlier. It recorded the largest percentage increase among brands that generated at least $10 million during the month.
Golden Nugget Online Casino followed with $11.3 million, an increase of 28.8%. BetRivers Casino also posted strong growth, climbing 28.1% to $10.7 million.
Fanatics has generated $106.4 million through August, more than double last year’s total for the same period. Hard Rock Bet Casino is up 42.9% to $141.8 million year to date.
Several other brands also posted sizable year-over-year gains. Resorts Casino revenue increased 47.6% to $2.6 million, while bet365 Casino rose 46.6% to $3.4 million. Mohegan Sun climbed 27.4% to nearly $1.5 million.
Several brands reported year-over-year declines. theScore Bet Casino and PlayStar Casino each generated approximately $2.1 million, falling 30.9% and 26.3%, respectively. PartyPoker revenue declined 18.6% to nearly $1.2 million.
Online poker declines as casino games grow
Online slots, table games, and other casino-style games generated $256.8 million in August, accounting for 99% of the statewide online casino total. Revenue from those games increased 4.5% from last year.
Peer-to-peer games, a category that includes online poker, produced the remaining $2.6 million. That represented a 3.2% decline from August 2025.
Online casino operators contributed $57.7 million in taxes during August, bringing the year-to-date total to $473.4 million.
