Two gamblers struck it rich at an Atlantic City casino over the weekend, combining for more than $2.4 million in jackpot winnings at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

Hard Rock Atlantic City described it as a “blizzard of jackpots,” with both wins pushing past the $1 million mark and turning two guests into instant millionaires.

$1.36 million slot jackpot on Dragon Link

The largest payout came from a visitor from Long Island, NY, who won $1,362,883.35 playing a Dragon Link Panda Magic slot machine. According to Hard Rock, the player made a $50 wager on the $2 denomination machine when the jackpot hit.

Dragon Link, a popular high-limit and premium slot title found across Atlantic City floors, has become known for producing sizable progressive payouts. This latest win adds to a growing list of seven-figure slot hits in the resort town over the past year.

The winning machine displayed the $1,362,883.35 jackpot on its screen as the guest became an instant millionaire. The winner declined to be publicly identified.

$1.04 million Three Card Poker progressive

The second major win occurred at a table game rather than a slot machine. A guest from Wayne, NJ, captured a $1,043,287 progressive jackpot while playing Three Card Poker.

The player wagered $5 on a progressive side bet and landed a Royal Flush – the highest possible hand in poker – to trigger the seven-figure payout. As with the slot winner, the player chose to remain anonymous.

Progressive table games jackpots are funded through optional side bets, with prize pools growing until a qualifying hand is dealt. In this case, a single $5 wager unlocked a life-changing payday.

Hard Rock’s gaming floor

Hard Rock recently announced $50 million worth of investments to the property. The renovations are expected to cover more than 700 standard guest rooms, over 60 suites, and eight penthouses in the hotel’s North Tower.

The property is also refreshing its interior corridors and walkways along with adding 16 new electric vehicle chargers at Rocktane Gas & Wash. There is also going to be new food concepts as well.

George Goldhoff, president of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City, said in a statement:

“We’re proud to reinvest in our resort, our team members, and the Atlantic City community.

“From redesigned guest suites and new dining concepts to world-class entertainment, these investments ensure we continue delivering an exceptional guest experience …”
