BetMGM announced that BetMGM Reward Points (BRPs) are now part of its single-wallet system, which means players can pool their points while playing in different markets, including New Jersey.

The new feature enhances the experience for players who like to travel, because now their BRPs with travel with them to any state that allows online sports betting or casino gaming. In New Jersey, the reward system spans BetMGM Sportsbook NJ and BetMGM Casino NJ. What’s new is that a BetMGM player from New Jersey can now earn points across the border in Pennsylvania or while betting on sports in New York, and have them all contribute to the same total.

Unfortunately, the same isn’t true of BetMGM’s secondary brands, as MGM Resorts has discontinued its omnichannel, multibrand M Life Rewards system, replacing it with MGM Rewards.

Borgata Online Casino and Party Casino have separate rewards programs, while Wheel of Fortune doesn’t have one. However, all these rewards systems allow the option to convert the points to MGM Rewards, so multi-brand players can still pool their points for use at the Borgata or other retail destinations owned by MGM.

BetMGM consolidates rewards points for customers

The goal of any operator is make an experience as customer-friendly as possible. BetMGM has certainly done that for its players.

Customers now only need to one set of login credentials, which includes account settings, cash balance and rewards point, for each market BetMGM operates in. So, for example, if a player in New Jersey travels to Pennsylvania or Michigan, everything carries over.

BetMGM CEO, Adam Greenblatt, said in a press release:

“We are committed to streamlining the loyalty experience for our players so they can enjoy the rewards they earn wherever they are in the U.S. The BetMGM Rewards Program showcases our key differentiators – omnichannel play, the iconic hospitality and MGM Resorts International’s entertainment, and partnerships including our alliance with Marriott Bonvoy.

“With every bet at the sportsbook and spin of the slot you are earning rewards that can be used online or in-person.”

How BetMGM is incorporating omnichannel experience

As Greenblatt alluded to, players can earn BRPs with every sports bet and slot spin, especially in New Jersey where online casinos are legal. Customers are able to rack up points in a number of ways.

Players are able to redeem credits through play in the Rewards Store and use them for odds boosts and Gametime credits. They can also be converted to MGM Rewards points for use at any MGM resort, which includes the Borgata Atlantic City.

In addition, because of BetMGM’s partnership, customers can exchange credits for Marriott Bonvoy Points.

There are numerous ways for BetMGM players to cash in on rewards points. Those that are loyal to the Borgata and the online platform in the Garden State, certainly have a ton of options to choose from.
