Over the past few years, we have seen Atlantic City casinos take the land-based industry to the next level in terms of technology.
For example: Dual play roulette, where in-person and New Jersey online casino players can both play the same tables.
Ocean Casino Resort, though, is introducing a first-of-its-kind feature to its propery.
According to a press release, Ocean Casino will “now have an easier and more convenient way to play” for its customers, as the AC casino debuted Cardless Gaming.
What exactly is Cardless Gaming at Ocean Casino?
In the announcement, Ocean Casino Atlantic City described Cardless Gaming “an all-new, fully integrated mobile experience” that customers can find via the Ocean mobile app.
Never before seen in New Jersey, Cardless Gaming provides guests with a one-stop shop opportunity. All you need to do is log into the app, scroll down to “Cardless Gaming” after clicking “Account,” and then select your desire to play slots or table games.
For table games, simply show the QR code to the dealer or pit boss. With slots, guests will select “Cardless Login” on the machine’s display and then scan the QR code to connect their accounts.
“The Ocean Casino Resort Mobile App takes our gaming experience to a new convenient level for avid gamers and fun-goers by providing a cardless option directly to the palm of their hands,” John Forelli, SVP and chief information officer for Ocean Casino Resort, said in the press release.
“By continuously adapting to evolving player preferences and utilizing advancing technology, Ocean solidifies its reputation as the premier gaming experience on the East Coast.”
Guests will still have the option to use physical cards at Ocean Casino. And soon, according to the announcement, they will also have a cashless option to consider.
Ocean Casino building on rising standing in Atlantic City
In the six years since it first opened, Ocean Casino has quickly established itself as a go-to destination among Atlantic City casinos.
Of the nine properties operational since that June 2018, Ocean ranks third in terms of Atlantic City casino revenue with $1.75 billion.
Only Borgata ($3.83 billion) and the other June 2018 opener, Hard Rock, ($2.38 billion) have performed better in that regard.
But the turnaround of Ocean has been unique, even spectacular. Especially considering its origins stem from the failed Revels, whose “curse” many believed real when Ocean was financially sunk from its 2018 opening.
Yet here Ocean stands, one of Atlantic City’s top casinos. And now, it is at the forefront of innovation with Cardless Gaming.
