Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City has opened a new fine-dining Indian restaurant called Sitar. The property says the restaurant was part of its $50 million capital improvement plan for 2026.

Hard Rock Casino President George Goldhoff said Sitar’s debut was a key piece of that investment plan. The casino continues to expand its non-gaming amenities.

For Atlantic City visitors, the opening adds another dining option inside a major Boardwalk resort. Hard Rock is positioning Sitar as a higher-end Indian concept.

Sitar Brings Indian Fine Dining to the Boardwalk Casino Market

Sitar debuted last month. The restaurant is described as the first fine-dining Indian restaurant to open at a major casino on the East Coast.

The restaurant overlooks the Boardwalk. It features design elements inspired by Indian culture and music. Hard Rock and Sitar said the space includes Mughal arch alcoves, onyx marble details, pearl-string chandeliers, and photo-op walls. The décor also pays tribute to Indian musicians, including Pandit Ravi Shankar.

What Does Menu Include

Sitar’s menu includes Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala, Guntur Chicken 65, Truck Stop Chicken, and Pastooni Lobster Masala. The restaurant also offers Indian-inspired cocktails, mocktails, and an extensive wine list.

Dr. Mukesh Roy, president of Sitar, said

“our culinary team is happy to tailor spice levels and customize ingredients to suit guests’ preferences, as every dish is made fresh to order.”

He also highlighted the restaurant’s seafood selection, including the lobster masala dish.

More Entertainment Tie-Ins Are Planned

According to the source report, future plans for Sitar include themed nights along with wine, whisky, and Scotch pairing dinners. Roy also said Hard Rock plans to bring live Bollywood music to the Sitar Bar. The bar is located near the Sound Waves Theatre.
