The Hard Rock Bet Mega Jackpot in New Jersey has climbed past $1.5 million, setting a new record for the largest in-house progressive jackpot in the online casino’s history.

The jackpot launched last month with a $100,000 seed prize. Since then, player contributions have pushed the total 15 times beyond its starting amount, and the jackpot continues growing with every qualifying spin placed in the state.

According to Hard Rock Bet, the eventual winner will claim the largest progressive jackpot payout the operator has awarded in any market.

NJ jackpot already bigger than recent Michigan payouts

The massive New Jersey online casino total stands out even more when compared to recent Mega Jackpot wins in Michigan.

Hard Rock Bet’s Michigan Mega Jackpot has hit six times since March 20, producing payouts between roughly $224,000 and $225,000 each. Combined, those six jackpots totaled about $1.35 million – still less than the current New Jersey Mega Jackpot on its own.

Recent Michigan Mega Jackpot wins included:

  • $225,216 on Black Diamond Deluxe on March 20
  • $224,610 on Blazing Cash on April 1
  • $224,944 on 5 Star Coins Hold & Win on April 8
  • $224,718 on Double Top Dollar on April 15
  • $225,453 on Cash Eruption Hoggin Cash on April 22
  • $224,820 on Majestic Fury Power 5 Jackpot Royale on April 29

The difference largely comes down to structure.

Michigan’s Mega Jackpot starts at $5,000 and resets after every hit, allowing for more frequent – but smaller – payouts. New Jersey’s Mega Jackpot starts at $100,000 and uses a $0.20 opt-in contribution per spin, double Michigan’s $0.10 contribution.

That setup has allowed the New Jersey jackpot pool to build at a faster pace while going unclaimed.

How Hard Rock Bet jackpots work

Players can activate the jackpot feature directly from the Hard Rock Bet homepage or inside eligible slot games.

Opting in adds $0.20 to each spin, contributing to four progressive tiers:

  • Mini
  • Minor
  • Major
  • Mega

Every eligible spin has a random chance to trigger one of the jackpots, regardless of wager size. Hard Rock Bet noted previous Mega Jackpot wins in Michigan have occurred on bets as small as $0.10.

The progressive system currently works across nearly 4,300 eligible online casino games in New Jersey. Eligible titles include the following popular online slots:

  • Divine Fortune
  • Cleopatra
  • Buffalo
  • Cash Eruption
  • Whitney Houston slots
  • Huff N More Puff

To participate, players in the state can create an account, make a deposit and opt into the jackpot feature while playing eligible games. Once activated, every qualifying spin contributes to the growing Mega Jackpot prize pool.
