Caesars announced that Horseshoe Casino will launch in New Jersey by the end of the year. The casino giant has developed a substantial portfolio of online brands named for its various resorts and retail chains, like Caesars Palace, Harrah’s, Tropicana, and now Horseshoe.
Horseshoe Casino NJ will bring an added element for players across the state. The new app has already launched in Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Since the platform if off to a good start, there’s no reason why it can’t succeed in New Jersey.
Horseshoe joins Caesars Palace, Harrah’s in NJ
Pending regulatory approval, Caesars expects Horseshoe to be the next NJ online casino before the end of the year, President of Sports and Online Gaming, Eric Heisson, announced during the company’s Q3 2024 earnings call on Wednesday.
New Jersey, and also Ontario, would be the company’s fifth market for the Horseshoe brand, which first launched in Michigan earlier this month.
Caesars would have a total of six platforms with online casino games once going live with Horseshoe. Here would be the following ways to access Caesars in NJ:

- Harrah’s
- Tropicana
- Caesars Sportsbook
- Horseshoe
- WSOP
Caesars is making a significant investment into multiple online casinos brands, giving plenty of options for customers in the most important markets.
Horseshoe’s early returns in Michigan are ‘positive’
Horseshoe hasn’t even been live for a full month in Michigan, but early reports indicate the app is doing well. That certainly bodes well for Caesars, and also New Jersey players.
Caesars had the luxury of purchasing WynnBet’s license in the Great Lakes State, which means it had a head start on a customer-base. Regardless, Heisson spoke to the start of the new online brand on Wednesday.
“Everything we’re seeing is positive. Customers like the app, they’re staying on the app.”
While Horseshoe is expected to be a strong brand, it is not necessarily going to be what drives the majority of revenue. Heisson said in July that the Caesars Palace brand is still king.
“I also would tamper the expectations. Horseshoe is a great brand, and we feel like it’s going to resonate with a lot of customers. But, Caesars is even a better brand. And quite frankly, that’s going to be the flagship app that we have, and it’s got a year’s lead over Horseshoe. So I would expect the Horseshoe to perform very strongly, but I don’t think it will command the market share that Caesars has.”
While timetables are difficult to predict for online launches, the end of the year in quickly approaching.
