Caesars Entertainment is spreading out its internet gambling empire in New Jersey between two apps, separating its online casino from its online sportsbook.

The Reno-based operator is rolling out Caesars Palace Online Casino in NJ. Caesars Sportsbook NJ will still be accessible to online players.

Caesars Palace Online Casino is also live in Pennsylvania, Michigan, West Virginia and across the border in Ontario, Canada.

“Players in North America deserve an online casino-first experience that treats them like royalty and that’s what we’ve brought to market with Caesars Palace Online Casino,” Matt Sunderland, senior vice president and head of iGaming at Caesars Digital, said in a press release.

“With Caesars’ unrivaled brands, IP, talent, and casino destinations, we can offer our players a true omnichannel gaming experience. Our newly developed Caesars online gaming platform and bonus engine perfectly tie online casino play and rewards to the world-class experiences that players can only enjoy at our many Caesars destinations nationwide.”

More about the new Caesars NJ online casino

According to a press release announcing the launch of Caesars Palace, users can now “enjoy a fully immersive casino-first experience with unmatched player rewards, exclusive games, and promotions provided by the largest casino-entertainment company in the US.”

In addition, customers can continue to compile Reward Credits through the Caesars Palace online casino that can be redeemed for “exclusive Caesars Rewards experiences” at any one of the company’s 50-plus destinations across the US and Canada. That includes discounted vacations, world-class culinary experiences, VIP getaways and bonus cash in the app. In addition, Caesars Rewards members can convert their credits into Wyndham Rewards points for “unforgettable stays” at over 50,000 hotels, resorts and rentals worldwide.

“The new iCasino product offers a significantly improved product and enhanced marketing capabilities, all combined with the compelling benefits of Caesars rewards,” Eric Hession, president of Caesars sports and online gaming, said during a recent earnings call.

Tom Reeg, CEO and director of Caesars Entertainment, added that the Caesars Palace app “is lightyears beyond” what the company previously offered, in terms of bonuses, games and the like.

That, Reeg added, gives Caesars an edge.

“We are fully aware that we have seen significant competition in the iCasino space, we don’t expect that we’re just going to come in and run everybody over. But we feel like we’ve got the product to start to build market share, and wrapping that into Caesars rewards has been and will continue to be powerful for that business.”

Caesars excited about its latest NJ online casino launch

One of the biggest pluses regarding Caesars Palace is its disassociation with the Caesars Sportsbook NJ app. It becomes easier to find and use for the online casinos customers. You want sports betting? Find the Caesars Sportsbook. You want online casino gaming? Get Caesars Palace.

As a result, the user experience improves.

In addition, Caesars will be leaning more into slot games. As Hession pointed out, the previous iteration of Caesars’ online casino featured “a disproportionately high percentage of table games action versus slot party action.”

“Going forward,” Hession added, “the standalone Caesars Palace app is going to have a higher percentage of slot business than table, but it’s still going to have live dealer and of the overall table games. We do expect that live dealer product to be a sizable percentage.”
