New Jersey casino players have won more than $355.1 million in major jackpots so far in 2026.
Atlantic City casinos and licensed online platforms awarded 3,692 jackpots of at least $40,000 between Jan. 1 and Sept. 12. Twenty-seven of those prizes were worth at least $1 million.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) published the figures in its latest Atlantic City jackpot report.
The qualifying jackpots averaged approximately $96,186. Since the report excludes prizes below $40,000, the total only reflects the largest casino payouts recorded during the period.
Online casinos account for 71% of recent jackpot payouts
The DGE recorded 162 qualifying jackpots totaling nearly $19 million during the report’s latest 30-day period. The average prize was approximately $117,084.
NJ online casinos accounted for 92 of those jackpots and approximately $13.5 million. That represents about 57% of the qualifying jackpots and 71% of the money awarded.
The remaining 70 jackpots came from Atlantic City casino floors and totaled approximately $5.5 million. Online jackpots averaged about $146,359, compared with $78,607 for the qualifying retail prizes.
DraftKings Casino NJ led the online operators with 58 qualifying jackpots worth approximately $8.81 million. That represented about 65% of all online jackpot money recorded during the period.
Golden Nugget Online Casino ranked second with 15 jackpots totaling approximately $2 million. FanDuel Casino followed with eight payouts worth $693,640, while BetMGM Casino recorded four totaling $558,195. Borgata’s online casino reported three jackpots worth $169,650.
Hard Rock Bet Casino recorded only one qualifying payout, but it was a $1.12 million jackpot won on Rakin’ Bacon Triple Oink San Shen on Aug. 17. BetRivers, Caesars Palace Online and Fanatics Casino also recorded one qualifying jackpot apiece.
The largest prize was a $3.9 million DraftKings jackpot awarded on Aug. 22 while playing Light & Wonder’s Huff N Even More Puff. It was also the largest individual jackpot listed in the DGE’s year-to-date report.
Other notable DraftKings prizes included a $629,264 Multihand Blackjack jackpot on Sept. 11 and a $552,415 win on 10x Cash Super Bonus on Sept. 5.
Golden Nugget Online Casino awarded two jackpots totaling $600,000 on Sept. 12. One player collected $400,000 from Game King Video Poker, while another won $200,000 on Dancing Drums Tower.
Each of the five largest jackpots during the latest period came from an online casino.
Borgata leads Atlantic City casino jackpots
Borgata recorded the most qualifying jackpots among Atlantic City casinos, with 23 payouts totaling approximately $1.76 million.
Hard Rock followed with 18 jackpots worth approximately $1.48 million, while Ocean Casino Resort recorded 11, totaling $871,940. Together, the three properties accounted for nearly 75% of the qualifying jackpot money awarded on Atlantic City casino floors.
Harrah’s reported five jackpots totaling $439,866. Resorts recorded two worth a combined $300,000, while Bally’s Atlantic City had three totaling $266,122.
Caesars recorded six qualifying payouts worth $257,486, and Golden Nugget’s casino floor produced two totaling $128,091. Tropicana did not have a qualifying jackpot listed during the period.
The largest Atlantic City casino prize was a $244,036 jackpot awarded at Hard Rock on Aug. 23. Ocean followed with payouts of $221,195 and $143,268 on Aug. 22, while Resorts awarded a $200,000 jackpot the following day.
Report only covers jackpots of at least $40,000
The $355.1 million total does not represent all the money New Jersey casino players won during 2026. The DGE report only includes individual jackpots meeting its $40,000 reporting threshold.
Slots produced the two largest jackpots during the period. The report also recorded qualifying payouts from blackjack, video poker, baccarat, and roulette.
Roulette accounted for three of the 162 qualifying jackpots. Golden Nugget Online Casino reported two $90,000 roulette wins, while BetRivers recorded a $59,000 Lightning Roulette jackpot.
The report identifies the casino, prize amount and game involved but does not show how much each player wagered before winning or whether they finished with an overall profit.
Million-dollar payouts remain uncommon, even among the major jackpots tracked by the DGE. The 27 prizes worth at least $1 million represented about 0.7% of the 3,692 qualifying jackpots awarded through Sept. 12.
