Ocean Casino Resort is enhancing its food options this summer in Atlantic City with help from celebrity chef Stephen Starr. Ocean Casino and Starr have partnered to bring two new restaurants to the property.

Atlantic City casinos offers some of the best dining experiences, especially on the Jersey Shore. However, Ocean has all sorts of options, which include fine dining, casual dining and quick eats and cafes.

Starr has transformed the culinary venues across many cities and states, including his hometown of Philadelphia. By coming back to Atlantic City, he’s returning to his childhood roots. He said in a statement on Thursday:

“It feels like a full circle moment for me to work on restaurant projects in Atlantic City, a place where I formed some of my finest childhood memories, both at the beach and on America’s most popular boardwalk, where I worked as a teenager.

“I’m excited to work with the team at Ocean Casino Resort to develop two new dining concepts this summer.”

Focus of new restaurants

Ocean Casino did not provide a timetable on the opening of the new restaurants, other than the expectation “to open this summer.” The new establishments will be located on the lobby level across from The Park inside the property.

While Ocean Casino did not disclose the concepts of the new restaurants, Forbes introduced a sneak peak. The first cuisine style will be ‘Americana,’ open for breakfast and lunch. Comfort foods are going to be served, Starr said:

“The menu will feature dishes such as Pigs in a Blanket, Tuna Tacos, Pierogis, Home-Style Meatloaf, and Thanksgiving Dinner served year-round.”

The second restaurant is going to be French-themed that “combines old-school charm with a new-school twist,” Starr added. That menu will consist of steak frites smothered in herbaceous butter sauce, along with salmon, lobster and other a la carte offerings.

These new restaurants are going to compliment the experience Ocean Casino already offers. The property has three fine dining establishments and four casual dining options. That doesn’t include room service and the multiple bars and lounges the property has.
