If you are planning a trip to New Jersey anytime soon, Caesars’ Tropicana Atlantic City has officially opened Solana Tower.  It’s a revamped wing of the resort.

They poured about $55 million into the renovation, and you can tell the second you walk through the doors.

According to Gregg Klein, the senior vice president and general manager at Tropicana, they “reimagined every detail” to create a space where guests can actually relax between rounds at the tables.

A ‘modern coastal’ feel

Tropicana Atlantic City took about 600 rooms and suites in the west wing and gave them a complete makeover. Instead of that dark, old-school casino feel, these rooms are bright with a “modern coastal” style.

Every room now has stuff people actually want today, like spa-style bathrooms, big windows with ocean views, and plenty of places to charge your phone. But if you’re heading down for the gaming, the features are just as new as the rooms.

The Gridiron Pit, which was launched late last year, is a “fan zone” where you watch the big games on high-def screens while you play blackjack at the same time. It feels like a high-end tailgate party with food from Chickie’s & Pete’s delivered right to your seat.

Plus, Tropicana has a bespoke live dealer studio right on the floor. It’s a custom-built space where real dealers host games like roulette and baccarat that stream live to people playing on their phones.

Caesars revamps Atlantic City properties

While this overhaul is to attend to customers’ needs, it will also help boost the Tropicana’s revenue.

Over the last few years, the resort’s share of Atlantic City’s gaming revenue has dropped, at times sliding toward the single digits.

The new Solana Tower is actually the finishing touch on a big project. Caesars spent $400 million over the last few years to fix up their Atlantic City casinos. They also fixed up over 2,500 rooms at Harrah’s, opened a fancy Nobu Hotel, and gave the older towers a makeover.
