One of America’s most iconic game shows is now an online casino app in New Jersey.
BetMGM announced the launch of Wheel of Fortune Online Casino, the first brand-led digital casino in North America. The Wheel of Fortune Online Casino app is now available for download on either IOS or Android platforms.
“We are thrilled to bring Wheel of Fortune Online Casino to players in New Jersey where they can now play for real money and experience the excitement of the beloved game show on their phones,” BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said in a press release.
Wheel of Fortune is ‘most successful slot theme of all time’
London-based IGT develops Wheel of Fortune slot games. For nearly 25 years, they have been among the most popular titles on casino floors nationwide.
Enrico Drago, CEO of digital and betting for IGT, said Wheel of Fortune slots are the “most successful slot theme of all time.”
“We are incredibly excited to partner with BetMGM on the evolution of this celebrated theme and witness it break new ground to become the first U.S. brand-led online casino where players can enjoy their favorite IGT Wheel of Fortune slots games,” Drago said.
IGT develops other gameshow slots, such as Jeopardy!, Family Feud, Let’s Make a Deal and The Price is Right.
“We have a great alliance with Wheel of Fortune and IGT and look forward to offering our players innovative and diverse selections of gaming options,” Greenblatt said.
WoF ‘brought to life’ for online casino players
The television game show is in its 40th season. Suzanne Prete, executive vice president of game shows at Sony Pictures Television, said the WoF brand has “been brought to life in a diverse range of products.”
“Now we’re excited to see BetMGM build on that success and take an innovative approach to bring the game to more players by launching the brand’s first online casino in the U.S.,” she said.
BetMGM is a joint partnership between MGM Resorts International and Entain plc. BetMGM and the Wheel of Fortune Online Casino operate under Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa‘s NJ gaming license. The Atlantic City casino is an MGM Resorts property.
