Ocean Casino Resort is once again turning its focus outward this holiday season, announcing the launch of its fifth annual “Season of Giving” campaign under its corporate philanthropic arm, “Ocean Cares.”

The initiative kicks off in November and runs through December, aiming to support families and community partners throughout Atlantic City and the greater South Jersey region.

The campaign builds on a strong year of community involvement for the Atlantic City casino, which has emerged as one of Atlantic City’s most active corporate donors.

Giving back where it matters

The resort reports more than $239,000 in monetary donations already made in 2025, with total giving projected to surpass $280,000 by year’s end. Team members have also logged over 750 volunteer hours, complemented by significant non-monetary contributions ranging from food to essential supplies delivered to shelters, schools, and community centers.

General Manager Bill Callahan called the annual campaign one of the property’s most meaningful traditions. He noted that it highlights the spirit of Ocean’s team and their deep-rooted connection to local nonprofit partners:

“It allows us to connect with incredible local organizations that make a lasting impact and share the joy of the season in a way that reflects Ocean’s values.”

Holiday activities & local impact

Ocean kicked off the 2025 campaign on Nov. 21 with a festive partner event featuring South Jersey Field of Dreams. Thirteen families enjoyed “Santa’s Hideaway Adventure,” complete with holiday photos and personalized gifts selected for each child.

Throughout November, Ocean Casino Resort’s efforts include serving Thanksgiving lunch at Adelaide’s Place and donating holiday food essentials for No1Hungry in Egg Harbor City. The resort is also providing 200 turkeys to the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, in partnership with the Casino Association of New Jersey, and contributing $12,000 to the food bank’s emergency response fund.

Additional support includes ShopRite gift cards for Atlantic Cape Community College students who rely on the campus pantry, along with a separate $12,000 donation to Sister Jean’s Kitchen & Pantry to help purchase proteins for 1,000 families and maintain daily meal service for 200 people.

In December, the Season of Giving expands with two charitable ornament drives benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Atlantic City and local ceramic arts nonprofit MudGirls.

Ocean will also deliver stuffed bear and blanket bundles to pediatric patients at AtlantiCare and support The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program, toy and winter-accessory drives, blessing-bag initiatives, and multiple community organizations including AC Rescue Mission, Avanzar, Arc of Atlantic County, CASA and more.

Community commitment beyond holidays

Although branded as a seasonal initiative, Ocean’s community involvement extends well beyond November and December. Through Ocean Cares, the resort supports year-round volunteerism, emergency relief efforts and scholarships, including five $1,000 awards for Atlantic County high school students.

Ocean Casino Resort’s ongoing commitment reinforces its growing role as more than just a Boardwalk entertainment hub. Its Season of Giving campaign continues to position the property as a dedicated partner to the community – one aiming to uplift local families and strengthen the social safety net across Atlantic County.
