A prominent Atlantic City casino is going for a new marketing look, which includes the signage of the resort outside the property. Ocean Casino began taking down the sign that hung from the top of the casino last week.

PlayNJ reached out to Ocean Casino for a comment on why the property is upgrading its signage, and the benefits of a new one. The casino responded on Thursday, stating:

“We are swapping out our letters on the building because the signage was outdated and reflected a logo we no longer use. The new sign will basically be the final piece in that rebrand.”

According to the Press of Atlantic City, the new sign is going to be replaced by LED lights in April. The new sign will light up 7,000 puck lights that can glow red, green, blue and white.

The plan to undergone new signage outside the resort is will mark an end to all the old branding, and finish the rebrand. Eastern Sign Tech of Burlington is implementing the new sign.

Ocean Casino finished as the third-grossing property in February, generating $32.4 million in slots and table games revenue. It finished behind Borgata and Hard Rock.

Ocean Casino recently added a retail Fanatics Sportsbook inside the property, holding a ribbon-cutting ceremony in September. Ari Borod, Fanatics Betting and Gaming chief business officer, saw Ocean as the perfect partner, he said in September:

“As Fanatics grows its gaming presence in New Jersey, Ocean represents the perfect partner to deliver an elevated retail sports betting experience at the premier hotel in Atlantic City.”

A new LED lighting sign on the casino certainly indicates an “elevated” experience Ocean Casino is attempting to provide.
