Playtech, a leading software development company based in the United Kingdom, will partner with Boyd Interactive to bring many of its casino games to markets in the United States.

Boyd will have exclusive rights to distribute games from Playtech in several states. Previously, Playtech had an arrangement to supply games to Bet365 in New Jersey, a deal that has since expired.

But that doesn’t meant Playtech is gone from NJ online casinos for good. Quite the opposite: This new deal with Boyd provides Playtech will power Boyd’s Stardust online casino in the Garden State.

What NJ online casino players can expect from Playtech

Many US casino players may recognize Playtech’s popular titles like Adventures Beyond Wonderland, Age of the Gods and Gold Rush: Cash Collect. Those titles and other casino games from Playtech can be found in land-based casinos in several states across the US.

Other top titles from Playtech include:

  • The Matrix
  • Desert Treasure
  • Top Gun
  • Cinerama

The company was founded in 1999, making it one of the oldest surviving casino gaming software developers. Now, Playtech will integrate its games with Stardust Online Casino NJ.

“We are excited to incorporate Playtech’s exceptional online casino and Live Casino games into our Stardust offerings in Pennsylvania and New Jersey,” Jim Ryan, CEO of Boyd Interactive, said in a press release announcing details of the partnership between the two companies.

“We look forward to offering Stardust players renowned Playtech titles such as ‘Age of the Gods,’ captivating, branded games like ‘Gold Rush: Cash Collect,’ and entertaining live shows like ‘Adventures Beyond Wonderland.’”

Playtech, Boyd expanding footprint for legal online gambling

Distributing its games to more online casino platforms is just one way Playtech is enlarging its footprint on US soil.

In November, the company opened a live casino facility in Pennsylvania. At that live studio, dealers run games on camera from a production studio, with the video streamed to players in several states where online table games are legal.

Playtech also boasts a New Jersey live dealer studio as well as one in Michigan. The studios operate more than 100 live casino games at any given time and employ hundreds under the banner of Stardust online casino entertainment.

“By introducing the exciting Stardust online casinos, Boyd Gaming expanded its long-standing tradition of surpassing expectations and delivering unique entertainment experiences into the online space,” said Marcus Yoder, chief commercial officer for Playtech USA.

“The team at Playtech is thrilled to collaborate with the Boyd team and we are confident that the joining of our forces will bring mutual success to both companies.”

Boyd, meanwhile, continues to grow in the industry with its partnership with Playtech. Just a year ago, Boyd purchased Pala Interactive and forged a strategic partnership with Playtech for its Stardust live casino studios.
