PokerStars has officially completed its transition to the FanDuel platform, launching a new “PokerStars exclusively on FanDuel” experience for online poker players in New Jersey and other shared-liquidity states.

The rollout marks the full integration of PokerStars into FanDuel Casino and introduces a unified poker network across three states.

Shared liquidity expands player pool

The most significant change for New Jersey players is the expansion of shared liquidity.

The new platform links players in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, creating what FanDuel described as “one of the largest regulated online poker networks in North America.”

By combining those markets, players gain access to “bigger games, larger prize pools, and a broader selection of tournaments and cash games,” according to the company’s announcement.

That expanded pool builds on PokerStars’ previous multi-state setup and is expected to increase tournament guarantees and overall game activity.

PokerStars and FanDuel brands combine

The launch represents a major strategic move by Flutter Entertainment, which owns both PokerStars and FanDuel, said PokerStars GM Aaron Dugan.

“The launch of PokerStars exclusively on FanDuel brings together two of the most iconic names in gaming and represents a major step forward for online poker in North America.

“By combining PokerStars’ industry-leading poker experience with FanDuel’s scale and reach, we’re able to deliver bigger games, larger prize pools, and a more dynamic experience.”

Players can now access poker through a dedicated FanDuel app and desktop platform, designed to integrate with the broader product suite.

Transition reaches final stage

The launch follows months of preparation and migration.

As PlayNJ previously reported, the transition required PokerStars users to move onto the FanDuel platform, with the standalone PokerStars platform phasing out.

The new setup brings poker into a single ecosystem alongside FanDuel Casino, FanDuel Sportsbook, and iGaming offerings, including slots and table games, streamlining access for users.

Promotions highlight launch

The operator is also using the launch to roll out new promotions and tournaments.

Players in the shared network will have access to two $500,000 guaranteed Sunday Million tournaments, along with a $150,000 guaranteed “No Sweat” series and a full schedule of cash games and events.

Since poker users are now on the FanDuel platform, there are sure to be other NJ online casino bonuses the operator will offer.

What it means for New Jersey players

For New Jersey’s online poker market, the launch signals a shift toward larger-scale competition.

The combination of PokerStars’ established platform and FanDuel’s reach could strengthen its position in the state, particularly as shared liquidity continues to grow.

With the new platform now live, Garden State players are entering a more connected network built around bigger tournaments, increased traffic, and higher prize potential.

It also leaves a small void in the iGaming market, as PokerStars did offer some slots and table games.
