Atlantic City’s nine casinos generated $304.2 million from in-person casino gambling in July. That is an increase of 7.1% year over year and 18.2% from June.
The result marked the strongest month for Atlantic City’s retail casinos since August 2025. It continued the market’s momentum during the peak summer tourism season.
Eight of the nine properties improved year over year. As per report, revenue climbed from $284.1 million in July 2025.
The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement’s July report shows slot machines generated $226.1 million, up 6.2% from July 2025. Meanwhile, table games accounted for the remaining $78.1 million, an increase of 9.5%.
Borgata Remains Atlantic City’s Revenue Leader
Borgata retained the top position with $81.6 million in casino win, 2.1% more than a year earlier and $24.3 million ahead of its nearest competitor.
Hard Rock ranked second with $57.3 million, up 4%. Ocean Casino Resort followed at $52.2 million after increasing 21% from July 2025. Ocean posted the second-largest percentage increase among the nine properties, behind only Caesars.
As a result, Borgata, Hard Rock and Ocean altogether accounted for nearly 63% of the citywide total. That continues to place most of Atlantic City’s in-person casino revenue in the hands of its three market leaders.
Caesars Posts Largest Percentage Increase
Caesars Atlantic City recorded the sharpest percentage growth, climbing 34.6% to $25.3 million. That was approximately $6.5 million more than last July.
The increase moved Caesars into fourth place for the month, behind Borgata, Hard Rock and Ocean but ahead of Tropicana and Harrah’s.
- Tropicana generated $23.3 million, up 1.8%.
- Harrah’s rose 7.8% to $22 million.
- Resorts increased 0.6% to $16.9 million.
- Golden Nugget improved 3.7% to $13.4 million.
- Bally’s Atlantic City was the only property to decline, falling 13.7% to $12.2 million.
Atlantic City’s casinos have generated $1.72 billion through the first seven months of 2026, up 3.1%. However, the growth has not been evenly distributed across the market.
Only four properties are ahead of last year’s pace:
- Caesars at 15.2%
- Ocean at 9%
- Borgata at 3.1%
- Hard Rock at 1.4%
The remaining five properties trail last year’s pace:
- Harrah’s by just 0.1%
- Bally’s 0.8%
- Tropicana 2%
- Resorts 2.5%
- Golden Nugget 3.7%
Retail Casinos Finish Ahead of Online Revenue
For the first time this year, revenue from Atlantic City’s casino floors exceeded revenue from New Jersey online casinos in July. The physical properties finished about $27.3 million ahead. Internet gaming still set a monthly record of $276.9 million and grew 12% year over year.
July’s performance briefly placed the retail market ahead of the faster-growing online segment. That said, it was not enough to close the gap for the year.
Internet gaming still leads with $1.87 billion through July. That is about $154.5 million more than the physical properties and an increase of 14.5% from the same period last year.
Including sports betting, New Jersey’s total gaming revenue reached $678.1 million in July, up 11.9%. Meanwhile, the statewide year-to-date total increased 6.9% to $4.20 billion.
