Atlantic City casinos still offer some of the country’s best dining options, hotels, and player rewards programs, according to several recent polls and rankings.
By the way, one Atlantic City casino is also the top place to work in the entire state of New Jersey.
To paraphrase: reports of Atlantic City’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.

N.J.’s No. 1 place to work is…an Atlantic City casino
Beyond just being a world-class destination for gamblers and tourists, Atlantic City casinos are also responsible for employing nearly 25,000 people in the South Jersey region.
And one of those casinos is the best place to work. Not just in a casino or in Atlantic City, but in the entire state of New Jersey.
Hard Rock International is N.J.’s No. 1 employer, according to Forbes Magazine. Hard Rock beat out over 89 other major Garden State employers, such as PSE&G, Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co., and Prudential Financial.
“It is a tremendous honor to receive this prestigious ranking from Forbes, especially as the results were driven by our valued team members,” said David Carroll, senior vice president of human resources for Hard Rock International.
