Atlantic City casinos still offer some of the country’s best dining options, hotels, and player rewards programs, according to several recent polls and rankings.

By the way, one Atlantic City casino is also the top place to work in the entire state of New Jersey.

To paraphrase: reports of Atlantic City’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.

Atlantic City casinos tops for foodies

For the second year in a row, Capriccio in Resorts Casino Hotel was named the best casino restaurant in the United States by USA Today’s 10 Best. The high-end Italian restaurant is consistently rated among Atlantic City’s best overall dining experiences.

“I am honored to announce Capriccio has taken home No. 1 U.S. casino restaurant once again. The team’s dedication and hard work reflects on this award, and they manage to deliver an exceptional product and service to our guests every day,” said Mark Giannantonio, president and CEO for Resorts.

A few other restaurants featured in Atlantic City casinos also made the Top 10 list:

  • Il Mulino in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is second.
  • American Cut and Dolce Mare in Ocean Casino Resort are sixth and 10th, respectively.
  • Izakaya in Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa is rated the ninth-best casino restaurant in the U.S.

Kuro in Hard Rock was named 2021’s best hotel restaurant in the U.S. in the USA Today voting.

AC’s best asset has always been the ocean views

Some of the nation’s best casino hotels are in Atlantic City, according to the rankings.

Hard Rock was voted the second-best casino hotel in the country, behind only Mohegan Sun in Connecticut.

Ocean landed in the fifth spot and Borgata was eighth.

The highest-rated Las Vegas casino hotel was The Venetian & The Palazzo in ninth.

Best Atlantic City casinos nationwide

Atlantic City casinos were also strongly represented on USA Today’s 10 Best casinos outside of Las Vegas.

Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City was voted No. 5 overall and the highest-ranked among A.C.’s nine casinos. Ocean (6) and Hard Rock (10) made the list, as well.

Use those comps almost anywhere in AC

For the gamblers, most of the player rewards programs offered at Atlantic City casinos are recognized. In fact, the highest-rated player rewards programs in the country can be used at seven of A.C.’s nine casinos.

Caesars Rewards is the country’s best. That means players can use the top-rated rewards program at three Atlantic City casinos: Caesars AC, Harrah’s Resort AC, and Tropicana AC.

Hard Rock’s Wild Card Rewards came in third, the Ocean Rewards Club was fifth, MLife Rewards (Borgata) was No. 8, and the 24K Select Club from Golden Nugget was 10th.

N.J.’s No. 1 place to work is…an Atlantic City casino

Beyond just being a world-class destination for gamblers and tourists, Atlantic City casinos are also responsible for employing nearly 25,000 people in the South Jersey region.

And one of those casinos is the best place to work. Not just in a casino or in Atlantic City, but in the entire state of New Jersey.

Hard Rock International is N.J.’s No. 1 employer, according to Forbes Magazine. Hard Rock beat out over 89 other major Garden State employers, such as PSE&G, Johnson & Johnson, Merck & Co., and Prudential Financial.

“It is a tremendous honor to receive this prestigious ranking from Forbes, especially as the results were driven by our valued team members,” said David Carroll, senior vice president of human resources for Hard Rock International.
